Ridiculous....those are the best helmets anyone has worn in the last 10 years. I know many folks that would love for us to adopt that as our regular helmet.
Damn EJ Manuel just killed it on that drive. Its gonna be a tough guess for the starter.
And obviously there is the reason he was starting over Cardale when Miller went down. JT was the #2 for a reason until Miller went down and then he was the #1. When JT went down Jones came in and performed as good as you could hope any backup to perform. I've always thought JT would be the starter this year. Cardale may play in select packages or situations but there is no way that he unseats JT as the starter IMO. JT had him beat as the starter all last year until Jones was forced into action.
Damn it, didn't know they were playing. I've been watching NDSU @ Montana. ...which has been a really good game so far

The uniform will not win or lose the game for us. We've sucked in both orange and maroon. This is going to be a special look the players and recruits will love, and that's all that really matters
Thought this was established that this "orange" helmet was for the "orange effect" i.e. Ohio St. Looks to be an all metallic orange helmet don't know what inside the VT is going to be... I'm curious what the uniform is going to look like!
If you look closely at the background, it looks VERY similar to the East stands of Lane stadium. Perhaps a clue as to where we will be playing our home games this year. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. #Lane4HomeGames2015
You really think so? From what it looks like LSU had the shoulder stripes in 1957 and UCLA appears to have had the shoulder stripes just before that. VT had them (from what I can tell) in the Frank Loria era. Shoulder stripes generally seem to have been popular back then so I don't necessarily think that VT's current uniforms are a direct copy of LSU's.
Me either, that was a rough one. '05 Miami was bad at the time, but it doesnt hurt anymore. But Boise State and the Michigan Sugar Bowl are tough pills.
Those Pitt and WVa losses in '02 and '03 were pretty brutal.

I don't know about the all orange. I think it's definitely too much. If there were a way for the top and bottom to incorporate maroon more, maybe it'll be alright, but with the way the throwbacks do it, not cool.
I remember being unpleasantly surprised at the 2013 Duke game when I saw them trot out with all orange. I jokingly said to my friends that we'll lose because of them; I guess somewhere deep inside I wasn't joking. Frank also did say many years before after wearing all orange and losing to UVa that they would never wear all orange again. I hope he keeps his word.
