Ranking is mainly based on potential. Ranking doesnt mean a guy is going to come in and be a world beater off the bat.Settles ranking was based primarily on size. He still has to gain the skill, stamina, strength to match that great size. If he does than he will be a great player. If he doesn't he will be a good player but maybe not great. He is currently well behind the other dts and right now there is little separation between 4 thru 6. Which also allowed for Walkers redshirt. There is nothing to substantiate that settle would be an upgrade in any situation at this point thus no reason for him to play. He may eventually be all world but right now he is unquestionably low man especially with SS improvement.

We generally travel well. This was the stadium at Cal a few years ago. And I KNOW this would never be the case at Lane Stadium, because you guys care about your team as much as we do. Nonetheless, we do travel well.

Dan Patrick made an interesting comment this morning. He said, (paraphrasing here) if you take away the financial aspect of the list of fines, and just look at what they're disciplining players for, as a parent, you'd be all for it.

I think he's right in that. I think the whole COA thing has some serious law-of-unintended-consequences things to work through, and this is one of them.

..." I don't need this or this. Just this ashtray. And this paddle game, the ashtray and the paddle game and that's all I need.

And this remote control. The ashtray, the paddle game, and the remote control, and that's all I need.

And these matches..."

aTm and Auburn can't play in the championship. Auburn would have to lose on the road at aTm, aTm go undefeated and win the SEC and Auburn beat Bama week before the SECCG.

Unlikely that aTm goes undefeated, but undefeated aTm and 1-loss Auburn (at aTm) would both make it IMO.

I completely understand. Considering the circumstances, it has to be awesome for CJ to get an offer so quickly from a major D-1 school, no matter who it is. I would be pumped as well. As noted above, he will get plenty more offers and will have a great career wherever he ends up. Congrats CJ!

Thank you. I actually had to take a month off after the Boise game at Fed Ex (perfect timing, since I then missed the JMU epilogue).

I was taking this shit too seriously. Losses would genuinely affect how the rest of my weekend and the next week would go.

Now, as every year, I genuinely believe this is the year we go 12- (ahem) 15-0. Fuck your facts. I will remain convinced of this until the whistle blows on our first loss, IF it happens. Then I will believe we will go 14-1. But appreciating that it's just fun to go to the game, or to hang out with you all on Twitter, is what I finally came around to. Yes, it is more fun when we win, but it's still better than almost anything else I could be doing even if we lose. Unless we lose to LOLUVA.

And yes, I will still yell at my tv and pep talk the players and give them an atta boy when they do something Fullerific. Because that's how I have fun. But I can't control what happens, other than making sure I wear my lucky shirt and hat and drink out of my lucky coffee mug that morning and always have a lucky beer in my hand.

Associated with the University? Did you go there? Do you follow Tech sports? Are you a fan? Do you consider yourself a Hokie? Wanna talk Hokie sports? Funny, nobody seems confused when I ask.

I hope he goes to OSU so that we don't feel so bad for kicking their butts twice and never giving them anything in return.
