I do not think he is spiteful at all. He appeared to leave on great terms with our coaches, AD, and rest of the team. Not sure when we are scheduled to play WVA, but I'd prefer not to play against him, mainly because I want to root for this kid because he truly loved being a Hokie and I don't want the TV announcers bringing up his past during our game with WVA either. Anyway, I hope he makes it to the NFL like he should.

Everything I've read about the fallout of the '92 season (that wasn't written by Frank himself) seems to point to Frank's retention being basically one last chance to prove himself, rather than a vote of confidence in him.

We need to stop saying they are not going to be good and stop expecting them to be bad. Look what happened when we did that to GahTech and Wake last year, and this kind of thinking is why we have played Duke close so many times over the past few years. I think we've played down to their level many times. It's high time we treat them with respect, as a worthy opponent....and then go out and smash those sniveling little dukies into the turf so they cry like babies. This is the attitude we need the next time we step on the field against them. Pound them! Pound the rock on their D...and then pound their new QB into the turf....that's what I want to see....complete domination....before any more remarks about how we hope they won't be able to replace their starters...and then maybe TKP can call this reporter back to get a post game quote about her beloved dukies....

1992 was my freshman year. I actually brought my parents down for the Miami game, in the rain. Boy did that suck.
Anyway, for those who don't remember those days, there were actually two newspapers on campus then, the CT and some smaller one whose name escapes me and is now long gone. I'll never forget when the non-CT paper did a spoof of Old Hokie that went like this:

Well nowadays, busses have TVs and DVD players. So that helps to occupy the time. Occasionally you have a bus that has satellite TV which was great during bowl season to catch other games. And yes, drinking does occur on those busses, just not straight from kegs like we hear you old folks used to do.
