Make sure you bring your Bic to hold up while you're shouting.
I'd really like to see an end-of-season follow up to this, although I doubt one exists.
when asked what the outcome would be for the Buckeyes on labor day, the OSU band replied, "TBDBITL!!!!"
Sources say this stands for "To Be Determined, But I Think Loss"
I heard that anOSU's shoe was pretty weak
Yet Maryland is currently on a winning streak.
I'm sure this is how he looked sitting across from Groh
Bud telling UVA what they can do with their offer for HC......
At the end of the day, what counts is the win.
But that was before this much tenure has been built up. Groh was hired in 2001. Bud was promoted to DC in 95. Six years is long enough to build up a good reputation but not enough time to not be bought out. Bud was still a relatively young DC at that point so I chalk it up to getting experience. However, since God is a Hokie He would not let it happen and so far has kept Bud at home where he belongs.
So you're saying they don't have an $EC bias? And might be tipping the scales to a B1G bias?
Totally depends, IMO. There's the non-blowouts like FSU had last season, where they were winning games at the wire, and were clearly the beneficiaries of good bounces on more than one occasion. But if we are clearly in control of our games and don't run up the score to win by 28, I don't think pollsters are going to hold that against us.
Also, realize that there is a not-small faction of college football illuminati that would like to see Frank get a national championship before he retires. I'm betting if we field a team that's in the conversation, there will be some pollsters who lobby hard for us just because of that.
The reasons a recruit gives for choosing another school may or may not be the real ones.

Yes! I feel like everything is coming together. Can't wait for the game!

# | Hokies RB Trey Edmunds Ready for a Season with "No Limp, No Gimp" After Several Injury-Filled Months Trey is the reason why I hope both Shai and Marshawn redshirt. JC and Travon will provide enough, but I think Trey could go for 1,000 this season, and with either of the other guys playing, that won't happen.
But James Franklin is coaching at Maryland's rival /s
EDIT: emphasis added for those who missed it the first time.

# | "Candid Coaches: Has a shoe company ever cost you a player's commitment?" (CBS Sports) Yea the whole AAU situation in college basketball is really messed up. I'm surprised there hasn't been a crackdown on it somehow, but I don't know how AAU is governed
They lost me at this:
If Ohio State wins: 2.2, as they're now retroactively undefeated in 2014 and undefeated in 2015 and, if we're being technical, undefeated in 2016 and beyond.
What a bunch of rubbish.
I predict a season of pain for opposing defenses...........
No way Oklahoma should be on that list. They have a great fan base. Sell's out every year. I have two OU friends in NC. One will drive to Oklahoma without a ticket for the games against cup-cakes because that gives him the best chance to get tickets, and the other is desperately trying to get is wife to agree to spend their 20th anniversary at the Red River Rivalry game. Even tried bribing her with going to the Patriots game the next day when he hates them. they will both travel to the Cousins because its close. Their some of the few people in NC I know that are passionate enough about college football to want to talk recruiting ff season.
Related: ESPN 30 for 30: The Sole Man. The documentary shows how shoe culture was born. I found it interesting.

# | Bitter blog - Hokies' search for backup WRs continues, but Burden more confident in group Cam Phillips, 2014 (13 games played, 9 starts): 40 catches, 498 yards (12.5 ypc), 3TD's, 5 rushes, 29 yards
Dmitri Knowles, 2013 (13 games played, 6 starts): 45 catches, 641 yards (14.2ypc), 3 TD's; 4 rushes 23 yards
Everyone loves what Phillips did last year, probably because he was a true freshman and has good hands. Everyone dismisses what Knowles did as a r-Soph probably because he drops passes and is terrible on KO returns.
Willie Byrn had 51 and 47 catches the last two years, those catches have to go somewhere. I think Knowles tops 30 catches this year and could be a big ypc receiver.

So instead of working 1 big deal with Nike, we work 3 small deals with Nike, Adidas, and UA. It's a win win win....
