So am I.
For those who have never seen the video associated with this gif, enlighten thineselves
A. You are assuming loluva would be smart enough to offer Bud a job. That is not going to happen. Way too over qualified.
B. If they were to contact Bud, he would think it's a prank. A letter that just says "You" addressed to Mr. Foster, Sackburg, VA surely must be from an admirer or someone with a sense of humor. Not a large University that is looking for a head football coach.
C. Bud wouldn't step down in prestige, no matter the money. Even if offered $10mil a year, its a step down.
D. Bud wouldn't take a dump on Frank, VT, and what he build at Tech with his tenure.
E. No.

If UVA offered Bud the HC job, then VT would make him the head-coach-in-waiting.

Here's a link to the actual movie scene with subtitles included. I always wondered what Hitler was really saying.
Bud leaving VT.

Just. is. not. happening!

Very funny, but I don't think there's any way Bud takes that job.
BTW, he HAS interviewed for other HC jobs, and they haven't offered. I think he will eventually be offered an HC job, but it won't be at UVa, and maybe not even a P5 school unless it's VT. Can you imagine Bud coaching for those Zima sippers? Too much of a culture clash. He'd hate it, and they would hate it.
You don't hire a coach for what he's done. You hire a coach for what he's GOING to do. To hire Bud as HC at VT, there has to be a reasonable chance that he can maintain the defense AND kick it up a notch at offense AND improve recruiting.
I don't see that "nightmare scenario" even as a remote possibility, but if that were to happen, it would likely mean that VT got some pretty good coaches as well. I don't want Whit hiring out of fear. I want Whit hiring out of opportunity, and I'll trust him on the due diligence part.
Missagain football...
i've heard "meatchicken" but this one is funnier...
This being said, let's see how the JumpMan works our for Missagain football...
lolPurdue versus lolUva....there's a game for the ages. That might make the 0-0 Wake game an instant classic.
And let's be honest, once you get below 75th or so, there's not much difference in the level of program. Either you make a bowl (over 50% of teams!!!) or you don't.
The problem with the war-chant is that it's done even during the other teams success on the field. If FSU takes a sack on 1st down the war-chant continues. It's like they are trying to motivate their team through painful play on the field.
However, UVA to the devil?? Possible
nah..UVA not nearly cunning enough..
Really poor brand consistency, I will give you that. I've eaten at some that are terrible.
I think it's funny that the B1G's best team is worse than a middle-of-the-pack ACC team and the B1G's worst team is worse than the ACC's worst team. It's amazing to me that the worst team in our league is better than anyone...

# | Hokies RB Trey Edmunds Ready for a Season with "No Limp, No Gimp" After Several Injury-Filled Months So glad Trey is healthy this year!
He's always reminded me of a faster Darren Evans; runs high but brings a shoulder.
Purdue. Or, as we can call them, lolPurdue; the loluva of the B1G.
Tremendous profile, Alex. I am pulling hard for Trey.
Bud being offered the UVA job reminds me of this.
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me."

**DISCLAIMER: this is not meant in anyway to compare Bud to Christ. However, UVA to the devil?? Possible.
i'm too lazy to look...if UVA is 99 and Furman isn't listed, who the heck is 112? Purdue? Surely Purdue is better than LOLUVA
Thing is... If he goes to UVa, his success will inevitably damage the legacy that Beamer leaves here. He has to much respect for Beamer to do that. Therefore, I don't see him ever taking the head coaching or defensive coordinator job of any of our closest (Coastal Division) rivals, let alone UVa.
Don't take this the wrong way, but I believe this to be out of the realm of plausibility

Hufflepuffs are loyal. That could be chosen.
