Bud Foster could have taken the Indiana job...well, whenever he wanted. Since Bud's comments after the bowl game and almost breaking down with regard to his extension and Beamer, I firmly believe he isn't as heavily recruited because people know he won't leave until Beamer is gone. BTW, earth shifted axis when Bud almost shed a tear and God had hiccups for an hour afterward.

He has never been offered a HC job even after interviewing. If offered a P5 coaching job at all but a few programs I think Bud takes it.

Edit: I honestly did wonder for a split second if this was too harsh a response. But for even thinking about Bud going to LOLUVA, you deserve it.

Their spicy chicken and biscuits are a weakness of mine.

Also, there are basically two divisions of that chain: the locations in and around Nashville, and those everywhere else. The latter are good, the former are great.

If Bud wanted to leave VT for an FCS school, he would've done so years ago. I doubt anything has changed.

Dude. Even if Bud decided to leave Tech, he would probably have at least a couple offers right off the bat that would be better than UVA. Not to mention there are at least a few schools that would probably offer him the same money UVA would just to make a lateral move as a DC. It would hardly be a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."

No one is gonna seriously offer Bud until after Beamer's successor is solidified, because no one is gonna wanna hire a guy that could very well jump right back here a short time later.

Bud blew off his Pitt interview in 2010, and therefore wasn't taken seriously when he did interview in 2011. And with Beamer's future unknown, Bud won't get any serious offers until after Beamer goes, just in case he were Beamer's successor even after leaving for a HC gig elsewhere.

He would probably have about 2-3 million reasons to do so plus there's no guarantees as Frank nears the end and the uncertainty around Whits hire and who the DC would be. It would be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity as far as Bud is concerned.

Agree. No way Bud coaches against Frank, especially at UVA. That's a lot of levels of "not gonna happen."

Damn our practice jerseys are so much more $ than our Game Day Jerseys...any chance we can just roll with those when kickoff happens?

Rogers is a Fullback.
He couldn't cover a fullback.
It's not like he was asked to cover someone really fast or really agile or a lifetime wiggly WR. It was a true sophomore FB. Only the second year in his life he ever played fullback.

SiriousXM college tour was at OSU yesterday. They had some of the Slobs and LB Perry on for interviews. They sounded very smart and well spoken, and that they had the right outlook (prepare the same for each game, pure emotion [revenge] is dangerous, they don't talk about last year).

Whoever takes the field for them is going to come to play; the scheme and endurance is going to make the difference.
