We saw Blues Traveler play Burruss Hall late 2001. Maybe a few weeks after 9/11? Anyway, John Popper opened the show with a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner on harmonica that will in my mind forever rival Jimi Hendrix's national anthem performance at Woodstock for sheer American badassery.
Anyway, there was this girl at the concert...to this day we call her the Swayer. Whatever she was on, she was dancing to a whole different music than what was being played onstage. Arms in the air, unceasing lateral movement whether standing still or moving, and just plain bowling people out of the way if she wanted to be dancing where you were standing.
Good times.

For a variety of reasons, none of those predictions has borne fruit. Add in his abysmal performance in the return game (highlighted by whatever that was against UVA last season) and there ya go.
I do really hope this is the year it all comes together........but again, I've said and heard that before

Ford is just gonna kill it, and with him putting on 16 pounds, one of his issues from last year is solved. Bucky will get more TDs though I predict.

Touche, but that was a lifetime ago (or at least a year). He was also a true freshman last year so there's that. I think you'll see that he's much improved since the 2 teams met last time.
When Barrett goes out with a concussion after the second sack (third play of game) the backup will get plenty of time to run for his life the rest of the game.
Yeah Red Solo Cup is pretty terrible although I think there are worse. At least Red Solo Cup is meant to be a bad/silly song.

Houseright's Gator Bowl injury was a shame. He was really playing well.

A lot of people closed the book on his last year, which I thought was odd when it was revealed it was an ankle injury that was hobbling him. That's a debilitating injury for a speed guy.

I'm hoping my Buckeye friend is right and VT dominates OSU again. It's just a great feeling beating the national Champs & undisputed #1 team in the NCAA.
I would also be fine with VT losing to OSU and go undefeated all the way to a National Championship.
Stuck next to a bevy of FSU fans for the 1999 Sugar Bowl game. Obnoxious jerks would be a compliment to that crowd. Shoulda heard them whining going toward the end of the 3rd quarter, shoulda heard them trying to rub it in in the 4th. A-holes each and every one of them. My wife, usually the supreme voice of restraint and reason finally snapped and gave them a piece of her mind. Not worth losing the game, mind you, but certainly a highlight of my football game memories.
Saw Junior at the Lyric several years ago. I was, and am still....WOWed.
