The Beard speaks wisdom. He's also not in my "wheelhouse of music taste", but definitely in my mean guitar approvalhouse.
Well, good for you for getting perks and having fun. As a Highty Tighty when the MV weren't dreamed up yet, we busted our tails practicing for marching season. There were few perks and lots of work involved. We may not have been the best musicians, but we labored pretty hard to be as good of a marching band as could be desired. In those days, if you were in the corps of cadets as a rat, you had to quit school to leave the corps before the end of your freshman year. Leaving school during the days of the draft meant losing your deferment. Vietnam ring a bell? Being in the band and the corps required a tremendous amount of time and energy, and some, like me, couldn't muster enough to keep up with that and the rigors of study as well. I've said it before, though, different era. I have serious doubts that many college freshmen today would tolerate that commitment. Times do change.
What's more concerning to me is that it seems like our DBs are getting handled by our receivers. I'd like to think that is good news for our receiving corps, but... kinda makes me uneasy when you see Riley getting beat over the top like that. It was nice though to see Newsome knocking the DB over to get some separation.
Well I had to check this out... for science
Looks like Lawson moved to CB. I hope Torrian knows what he's doing... /s
Sometimes they provide updates to the story, and it makes a new time stamp.
For example, the original headline was: "Virginia Tech needs a change at Defensive Coordinator if they want to get back to 10-wins." After the ransom was paid and Connelly was allowed to return to his family, he changed the headline quickly. /s
They all drive Kubotas now, and run a bit younger. Not familiar with the 'castle greyskull' reference (other than He-Man).
Ooh, that was below the belt. Try to keep the gloves up.
This had me doing YouTube searches. Apparently a lot of sororities at a lot of colleges have these, and they are all pretty similar.
Here is a Delta Gamma one at Arizona with way more bikinis.
We had a living social coupon or something. Outdoors wasn't open at the time. Beers definitely aren't perfected. Lot of off favors and carb issues. However, sounds like I may need to go back.
Have you been to Denizens yet? Pretty solid beers and nice outdoor space. Also have you been to north center market in river Dale yet? They have tastings on Friday. Oh and Franklins is worth a stop in too.
The new music ruins it.
The BC picture is glorious
That was a Liar Liar reference but guess it didnt land
Osterloh is obviously the #6 guy on the O-Line, so he needs to get reps with the first team if he is going to be able to contribute immediately off the bench in the event of an injury. Plus, he will be able to give various guys on the first team a break in-game without there being any drop-off. That is what I make of this move. Nothing to see here folks, move along.
Based on my impression from watching Searles' interview, I think they're trying to bring along Osterloh as that #6 guy and this is a safe way to get him more first team reps. Nijman has been getting first team reps as a result of Wade Hansen's foot, so moving McLaughlin over to RT is an easy solution there. The rest I take as coach speak, so I'm not worried anymore... I think... Maybe.
Brad Paisley plays a wicked guitar. Check out some of his "duels" with John Mayer and Keith Urban on YouTube. My favorite song of his, though, is "Welcome to the Future." How perfect is that for where we are football-wise?! Here is a link to the video: http://youtu.be/Y0Yg9wjctRw
I love the little kids in the video talking about what they want to be when they grow up, and you will hear/see some of Brad's mean guitar licks. Pretty good message, too. And for anyone who questions the appeal of country music, you have to admit that this video has a lot of diversity.
I honestly think it's nothing. It's more to do with we have a decent OL 2 group so why not get them reps against the best d line they'll see all year.
Reps now vs our 1st and 2 DL will pay off immensely later in the year. Imagine being able to easily swap 2 OLinemen with out worrying if they'll hold up. That will keep the big boys a little more rested and ready for more pancakes.
Well, now I just feel silly. I don't remember him punting at the spring game.
Then again, I missed a lot of it for stupid reasons. Spent the second half of the game in my uncle's company's suite. Everyone there was more worried about business than the game. I begrudgingly entertained their conversations because I was being given free booze. It was sad that almost no one there was actually watching the game.
I feel way more concerned about this Teller thing than I should
This is like watching the whole movie in gif form. I'm just waiting for him to yell, "Give me a minute!"
I went on a dependent's cruise in high school on my brother's boat. But when it came time to volunteer sub, I remembered what NAVY stood for... ;)
damn how did i miss Dadi? I think I'm just sad he is already a senior as well.
Well I hadn't read it before at least, so thanks for posting! Very interesting.
