If Logan Thomas had been the QB last year, VT would have still lacked a downfield threat (much like it did in 2013), i.e. someone that defense's gameplanned to keep them in front of them.

Brewer's arm strength/accuracy (or lack thereof) had little to do with it.

Can we just maybe pretend MV5 didn't play for us. I almost consider the entire '05 season irrelevant because of him. Worst ever waste of talent in the history of Hokiedom...ever.

I knew after MV5 sh*tbagged pt 1 after the '03 season and had a gut feeling that Randall was gonna have a kicka$$ '04. And comparing him to Al Clark!? Seriously!? Are you drunk, high or both (no offense). THERE IS NO COMPARISON! Which pro team picked up Clark after his sr season? I'm listening...

You'll not hear me defending bigotry, but Alum had a salient point, however ineffectively he may have made it. For an awful lot of this state, and I cannot speak for out of state, the entirety of Virginia west and south of Roanoke is a whole 'nother country. Past history isn't necessarily forgotten, I have a friend who played college ball for St. Joseph's and his recollection of a basketball game with Tech decades ago still colors his perception of VT and Blacksburg. Yes, times have changed, dramatically for the better, but either way, Brad Paisley isn't remotely part of the problem. This concert may not be a home run for everyone, but it is a serious effort to bring a crowd pleasing rousing concert to the FANS, and that ain't a bad thing. Pleasing the recruits is what all the pretty girls and big meals and coach blowing as much smoke up your ass as possible in a weekend is all about.

And the best way to counteract the "Hicksburg" stuff is to embrace the outdoor recreation, the beauty of the setting, and the easy going rural living available in the area and to get those kids to campus. B'burg is a wonderfully diverse community, and if urban lifestyle is your thing, you can always go back to it after you have a great college experience at Virginia Tech.

LOL, thanks. It was weird that through most of the posts, no one had info on him. Guess he was just pretty neutral.

Good point about the recruiting; we're getting some offensive talent on the field after quite a dry spell, both in talent and production.

Never mind that Bucky is a converted QB, Teller came from the defense and Sam Rodgers was a walk-on. /s

I'll respectfully disagree about him being more pop than country. He's one of the few Nashville country musicians I can even tolerate any more. It seems like other than him and ZBB, its all overproduced bro-country garbage. You're right about the rock stuff though. When he played down here in Pensacola in January, he did Hot for Teacher, and played the absolute shit out of that guitar.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. You guys gotta hell of a band. The animation is incredible, and I'm not sure I've seen better. I know a little about what it takes to do stuff like that, and all props to them. I'd love non band folks to know how much time, practice, dedication and sacrifice it takes to be a first class marching band...I think most people would be surprised.
