# | Bitter blog - 'Big baby' Tim Settle a camp curiosity, although role this year might be hard to find The problem is that if Brewer gets hurt, it is very hard to start preparing a guy that has been planning on taking the shirt and then having him see the field. Most players that are shirting check out mentally just a bit because they don't feel like it will make a difference for this year. I think we are potentially one injury a way from seeing him and if we can give him a few packages, we can make the season worth it even if Brewer stays healthy.
Didn't notice him being out of position or missing on assignments but I also don't remember him making very many plays.

VT Football Practice Monday 8/17 Observations The good news from this is we have two linemen in Osterloh and Nijman that are about ready to play that we werent so sure on a few weeks ago. We are close to having a two deep of Olineman we can count on, that is something we havent had in these last three down years.
I would have to say after watching the snap chat video, that our coaches are some of the best in the nation. (I think we already knew that) But not just schematically, but how they teach technique is amazing to watch. Not every coach has that ability, they may have the knowledge but to teach it like our Coaches do is awesome. We are very lucky.
And the way we are practicing, it is no question they are getting ready for a big game against a great opponent. The team will be ready, and I bet you we are still going harder and more motivated than the Buckeyes. I'd like to see what the 'Hoos are doing as well. I bet it is a joke in comparison.
I saw the /s, but it seemed like you were being serious, so many people actually have that attitude

I for one thoroughly enjoyed it...
Have caught my share of yellow perch as well. I used to laugh at folks that claimed that walleye don't fight. No, little broomstick walleye don't fight all that well, but catch a five, six, seven pounder, man, they fight just fine. Catch them in swiftly moving water, and they fight even more.
Thanks for the good luck wishes, and I think you'll get your wish for a great game. Funny, while the game may not live up to any of our expectations, it sure is starting to feel like a real event, isn't it?

VT Football Practice Monday 8/17 Observations If he can move the pile in the running game, and be strong against stunts and blitzes like he looked today (patient and let the play develop without getting out of position) he certainly can. It sounds like he and Osterloh are the swing guys right now.

I'm excited for McClease, but he's in the David Wilson situation. There are older guys (JC, Trey) who are good to go and young up-and-comers (Travon, Marshawn, and Shai) who are going to be good and will be around for a while, so I fear we won't see much of him until his r-So or r-Jr years.
@ IfishVTIam - The Lake Erie fishing is different from the fishing for walleye I have done on lakes in Canada. We usually drift fish & when you hit a school you can catch your limit in a hurry (6 a day, 15 " minimum). And if the walleye aren't biting you can go for perch (30 a day limit & no minimum size). They both are some of the best fish in the world to eat. The walleye can give you a good fight. Hope you get there some day. Good luck & wishing for a great game!

As I said from the scrimmage, at this point I think he should redshirt. When it comes to getting comfortable his first year in the classroom and being a college student I'm not sure it helps there. In my experience guys that are taking the shirt seem to struggle a little bit more away from the field and I think part of that is because they don't have much to lose from it on the football field. Not always the case, but that has been my experience more often than not.
