He's definitely a serious threat with the ball in his hands and capable of breaking a big play. In some ways I wonder if early on he is used more to force D's to account for him and potentially open up someone else. He definitely needs time to develop although his experience at QB and athletic skills bode well for him.
Braxton does not look good. Not quick out the breaks, not running full speed down field, not getting the ball at the highest point, cannot catch the ball with his hands up.
If he can't catch the ball with his hands up and out, he won't be able to be used on screens either. Maybe he can improve in one month, but I'm from the two videos I've seen, he'll be relegated to hand-offs.

It will be interesting to see how his season develops and how seriously he takes learning the WR position.
In response to Galloway saying he's been learning the WR position for the past 1 or 2 months:
"I've been doing this for the past 3-and-a-half months"
From my perspective, he's not taking the move to WR seriously. I don't think he'll be successful beyond the line of scrimmage. The only success he'll have is when Meyer gets the ball in his hands behind the line of scrimmage or broken coverage.
That commentary was insufferable and unnecessary... but the disappointment when he dropped that easy pass made it worth the time.
Less than one month till game day they are going to put him in screen pass packages, he won't be running any deep routes unless it is a trick play and just to get both sides hearts beating faster. just sayin
Definitely looks new to the position. He might have athleticism and speed but if he can't catch it's all useless.
That first ball that's thrown his way with any defender closing in will be a mental mind blow for him.
Unfortunately for Braxton, VT will not bring the DB's Braxton is looking for. Joey Galloway is no comparison to DBU.

Tech is going to start the year with the best defensive line in the country and probably the best secondary in the country. Tech is also returning everyone of note on the offensive side of the ball.

I'm curious as to what specifically you thought was acceptable about the ending. Not picking a fight, just wanna see where you're coming from. To me, the ending came off as nihilistic for the sake of nihilism. Like Pizzolatto's grand theme was "life sucks, then you die." It felt pretentious. Not to mention full of tropes (one night stand baby, men sacrifice themselves to save women, women now do little but grieve for the dead men, "bad guy" has to die as atonement for his sins, running away to a foreign country, guy gets killed by his dirty partner). Not to mention the massive plot holes. There were high points, but it certainly wasn't the finale you'd expect from a show of this caliber.

Indeed, once he gets the ball the defense is at a big disadvantage, at which point they can only hope to minimize his yardage (hard to do). The key for our defense, or any defense, against Miller is to disrupt his route and/or keep him blanketed in coverage. He's lethal once he's out in space.

I certainly don't speak for all Buckeye fans but the feeling I get is there's a sense of cautious optimism about Braxton's move to receiver. He's an incredible athlete but I'd be willing to bet there will be a lot of growing pains or rookie mistakes in the new position. If I had to guess I'd bet that most of the time he'll be running the short to intermediate routes or getting the ball from touch passes. One thing's for sure, once he gets the ball he's fun to watch.
