No matter what the outcome, there will be excuses and more excuses. If it is close, we got all the lucky breaks and calls. If it is a blowout, the team didn't care about the game that much but they are still the better team plus they had guys suspended. I imagine even if we lose in a close game they will have excuses why the game was so close.
Miami ran the same 3 running plays and we couldn't stop any of them. VT also fumbled 3 times inside the 10.. Back to back possessions as well. 1 of them was from a RB that hadn't carried the ball all year/left team only to come back and get carries ahead of JC and Sam
I don't think it will happen (I think it will be a close game decided late in the 4th qtr), but strange things do occur in sports....what happens if WE win in a blowout?
The bionic implant they put in his back during surgery gives him an extra 10 yards on every kick #sources
Yea this year should be better than last year, but the Miami game was really supposed to be just that. But also I don't think Lane will be a big issue for OSU

I can't endorse this. Unless you have a high tolerance for embarassment and skin rashes. And a big supply of calamine lotion.
from the comments here on TKP, it sounds like tickets would be hard to come by. I don't know what the allotment for visiting teams is, so that is very hard to tell.
What I can tell you, is tOSU fans are one of, if not the best traveling fans in CFB. So, it wouldn't surprise me if many more than 8k were in attendance. then again, the VT fans may hold onto their tickets and then it would be significantly less.
2 Things. The atmosphere will be great and fun, and I'm really looking forward to it. But this is Ohio State not Marshall

Beamer Co. and the entire athletic department asked Hokie Nation to show up Thursday, and you did.
The crowd was there, and both teams were equal and either team could win or lose. Return of sold out Lane stadium and Thursday Night Football.
3-5 against Power 5 teams at home since 2012
I think that was out of desperation. We were so thin at the skill positions in 2013.
The ONLY way a LOLUVA fan is surprised about the score of their games is if (and it admittedly is very infrequent) they actually win.
Well, I mean, lets be honest... Last year he outcoached the Ohio State defensive coordinator. He adjusted as he needed to, called plays to our strengths, and put us in position to succeed time and time again, allowing Brewer the opportunities to make the plays he did. As the season progressed, those adjustments weren't necessarily there, and the playcalling almost seemed a little predictable.
You ask me, that's the sign of a tired mind from the OC, which, if he was burning himself out in Merryman during the day only to go home and deal with a newborn keeping him up at night, it completely makes sense. If Beamer is making it a priority for him to ensure he keeps a fresh mind every week, that should pay dividends on game days.
Beamer Highway dead ends into a circle?!?! Leave it to Frank to get after ya.
This never gets old. Never.
I am 99% sure that's a Jerry Springer audience shot... I can't stop watching this, each time I find another funny reaction face that I hadn't noticed at first.
Indeed. You can't control some things in life. 19-23 year old males in college football are a prime example. You give them the information and training that they need to succeed, but you can't control on-field performance. Execution is up to the players.
I gave you a leg before reading your comment, the username was too good.
I've watched the Ohio State game at least twice myself.
Twice a week, that is.
I mean, it's not unreasonable to put GT at #2. While I think we will win this years head to head match up, we could easily drop games elsewhere on the schedule, allowing GT to win the coastal.
EDIT: Yes, GT has the tougher conference schedule, but our offense is yet to deliver consistently. Yes, we return lots of talent and we have loads of potential, but until I see us play a complete games and establish the run, I cannot seriously consider us a conference/division favorite.

Don't nutmeg me, bro.
Frank Beamer's circle has 400 degrees in it!

It's not surprising to me at all that they attribute a lot of VT's success to Michael Brewer having "the game of his life".
He had a great game, but the rest of VT was solid as well.
I'd LOVE to see a repeat...
