Stability and talent with a good coach on the OL. We actually are putting guys in positions and
trying to let them develop chemistry.
Very good tight end group and WR talent but need a little help in the reserve area
Very solid at RB and maybe excellent if Tre and Mac take the next step.
Defense the DL deep and talented across could be our best ever . If Dooley and Mihota
take the next step look out , Got Tim , Ricky and Steve outside the 2 deep , Wow .
Secondary , Kendall , Brandon and Chuck are as good of a 3 we have ever had . We need
to get the rover ironed out and if we do this is and elite CFB secondary. LB we are fine at OLB
assuming that RVD stays healthy and plays up .Middle is the 1 question but feel we will be at least
adequate there. Could be better than everyone thinks Moto and getting Sean back is good insurance.
Players Like Stroman and Knowles could be big positives with there abilities and think Stroman
will be dynamic on defense in the nickel after he gets some games under his belt.
We have been in a flux for like 4-7 years very little stability from year to year . Players like JC ,Hopkins, Maddy
Maclaughlin having to be thrown as freshman to cover deficiencies well before they were ready and because we had holes. Ford and Phillips last year . This is by far the best we have been coming in for a while. We really
are not needing any newcomers to come in and fill a hole . So we should feel pretty good about our chances.
Great point, freshman year is always the hardest academically.
Sounds like weve got a potentially really special season. Im normally a donny downer and cautious but i have officially thrown my inhibitions to the wind. I hear that train a comin! Toot toot!!

He's a joy to watch. Most plays I just track him. Because ten yards in the backfield or thirty down field he's there.

I mean they make it sound like were way better looking than we have been for the last several years.
They gettin me amped!!
Honestly if they're only providing the two deep, I'd be shocked to see Settle break into that this year. Williams and Baron have given solid minutes throughout their careers and behind them you even have Ricky Walker who saw time and has potential.

# | Report: Suspended Virginia Tech RB Shai McKenzie Expected Back with Hokies in August I believe Mike Imoh had a very similar punishment in terms of house arrest and missed 3 games because of it. And we opened with USC that year.
Anyway, just my opinion. Not saying I'll drop support for the team or anything over it.
His senior year in '08, yeah. He had 25 punt returns, 8 catches, 5 rushes, and 4 kick returns.
DHall did it in 2003 as well. 33 punt returns, 7 catches, 2 rushes.
Honestly with the depth we have and him making it down to the wire to start classes at VT this year I could see the coaches ask him to work on school before rushing him on the field. We will see, I love to see Tim on the field and not in academic trouble.

OT: Just looking at Frank I can't see him coaching too much longer, old age will get after ya. But watchin Bud Foster and yes I know there is another thread on this but man would I love to see him get a shot at HC...
Especially interesting was Frank really being pretty blunt (for Frank) about his concerns of if JC was good enough to do what they needed, and how jazzed up he was for how he finished the year.

I mean they did it with Macho in 08/09 right? I seem to remember them trying to get him 5-10 touches a game
None of it is a full time position, and he's talented enough to deserve to see the field a lot. Remember they were talking about putting Facyson at wr for a few reps his fr year too, but we never actually saw it
Maybe he's thinking Deshawn Mclease???
