It's the offseason for another 32 days, and last I checked, we'd be hosting OSU undefeated.

Against tOSU Brewer also hit Malleck on a similar route concept for a huge 1st down and I believe the GW Hodges TD was also a smash route.
Once teams started getting a book on Brewer, they started taking away a bunch of the quick underneath throws with cover 2, just like GT did. There was a long stretch (Pitt to Wake) where they really struggled to stretch the defense. The lack of a running game didn't help, however life was easier for the D because they knew Brewer wasn't going to challenge the middle of the field. Whatever was causing his loss of velocity was a contributing factor. I loved seeing so many beautiful deep throws in the spring, but I was disappointed that we didn't see more slants and crossing routes. Can you imagine how much more of a weapon Bucky could be as a single WR on the boundary running a sharp slant route on a 3rd and 6? Good lord.

Reavis Releases Statement on His Transfer to JUCO East Mississippi Like I said, I knew they could pass down "severe consequences", but the upper limit being expulsion from a group of same aged collegiates doesn't jump out of that statement. If there is a process where the SCC hears the case, judiciate the case, and it is then passed on to a VT official, I can understand that. But, nowhere in anything I have read, does it once mention that. I do not feel fellow students should be able to hold someone's collegiate career in their respective hands. That is all I am trying to get across.
I hated the way things ended up for Glennon. He certainly wasn't the best QB, but that offense didn't play to his strengths at all. In any case, no one deserves the treatment he got from certain pockets of the fan base. In spite of it all he put on the orange & maroon every week and gave everything he had, even though a lot of the fans didn't deserve that commitment from him, and he had a few great games.
There are no pitchforks regarding this situation; we are saying the same thing. My comment was / is solely regarding the process. The outcome is irrelevant, which is why I said we may well have ended in the same place. I agree with the power of this committee no more in the case of Shai than with C.J.
The fact remains that an administrator likely has more experience to draw upon and should be involved.
Would it be great to have him on the team right now? Yes; however, I have no idea what he did, so I can't draw conclusion as to whether he should be in school or the student committee got it right or wrong.

It is. As is Lane and Cassell too I think. Shoot, all but a handful of buildings on campus (Torg, PY and a couple others I can't remember off the top of my head) are named after people who ponied up some cash. Side note: how we have a New Hall West but not a Librescu Hall in my mind is just plain wrong.

Reavis Releases Statement on His Transfer to JUCO East Mississippi I avoid speculation generally, especially in cases like this, but it was strange to me that within 24 hr of the Reavis news, people were already welcoming Keihn to Maryland on Twitter. This was well before his release was official, so it seems that it was already set up beforehand. Transfers do not happen immediately.
More generally, I'm going to avoid what a few others are doing by speculating on what happened and what should or should not be done. Reavis and Keihn are now former VT students; I thank both of them for their time on our team and wish them both well. Life is about learning, and I suspect everyone involved has learned something about themselves or others. That's all that matters.
Bingo. Brewer and Loeffler said later that that's a coverage they hadn't repped against more than a couple of times, which made Brewer an easy target for that particular brand of deception.

Correct. It was run several times throughout that game, and the season. Every team in America runs that concept. The corner just made a great football play in a big spot.

I can tell you with a great deal of certainty that there has never been a couch or dumpster fire because of a tOSU loss or win up here. Those usually happen in C-Bus. FWIW
I always felt that he was a good pocket passer, but I remember joining a Facebook group that was titled "Sean Glennon has the Pocket Presence of a Cinder Block," for a good reason. Respect the guy though, definitely was a hard worker, but the O-line/Glennon combo was hard to watch.
If I'm not mistaken he (brewer) threw that same route/play earlier in that game and the outcome was decent yardage..
Your point is a good one, but at the end of the day, big-time athletics cost big-time money.
If you don't want to pay for your uniforms, you have to accept a little swoosh mark on them. If you want nice facilities, you may need to do some co-branding.
Sharing the name of the playing surface is an optimal way to handle it, without re-naming the overall venue.
The Brewer play highlighted above was a smash route concept. That corner did a good job of showing cover 2, but dropping back to get in the throwing window of the corner route. That was great film study by that corner as well as seeing the wide outs inverted (meaning outside wr off the ball, slot wr on the ball) at the LOS. Brewer has to do a better job, but that was a helluva football play by that corner. It happens, especially when you have a smash route concept to the boundary. The defense wins sometimes.

# | Hokies Ponder How to Best the Buckeyes Again, as Excitement Builds for "Most Anticipated Game Ever" I lived in Cbus and Dayton for 7.5 years I know many great anOSU fans, I also know many obnoxious ones, usually ones with no connection to the school. I found the farther one got from Cbus the more annoying the fans got.
That's good, because I'm not sure how the weave would come together. The stone pattern sort of distroted at the back, and the weave wouldn't be any different.
It's an interesting touch to the "poster" though.
