Got to feel bad for the kid, and I know that we will be missing him come kickoff on Labor Day. The Student Conduct Committee has always been a no exceptions sort of department though, so I would have never expected an appeal to go through.

More like scenario based, depending on Facyson's health and Clark's role. Fuller, Facyson, and Clark will be on the field at all times if all 3 are healthy. When you add in the nickel, by the time Ohio State rolls into town, I wouldn't be shocked if any of the guys in the top three at corner and/or safety were getting significant snaps. I think we will see a bunch of mixing and matching.

Trust me, after having played qb, rb, ol, dl, and lb, I know the difference. What I'm trying to say is its not a power run game when you run a split backfields/pistol and no traditional down te's. It's a spread run game. Can you achieve the same thing or better? Yes. Is it the same play style generally? No.
Edit: didn't notice it earlier but you were right. Zone scheme run and spread run are basically the same thing

I don't need to know what happened. It is sufficient for me to know that he made a mistake & he was dismissed. And because I do not know the details, I cannot judge the severity of his mistake nor know if the Student Conduct group treated him fairly. I just know that we have lost a very talented young adult student athlete. I wish him well & hope he eventually gets to play for a good football team.
