He struggled some early in the year as he was out of place as a nickel corner, but he was very good down the stretch. He outplayed Kendall at times and more than held his own when matched up with Tyler Boyd. I think he only allowed 13 catches in the final 8 games and had 8.5 tfl and 12 passes defended on the year. Also, apparently he had a fantastic spring.
His potential is to be Jeremy Cash but better in coverage.

There was a point last year due to injuries and the sanctions due to the Sandusky situation, that Penn State didn't have a scholarship player starting on their offensive line. That's just craziness.
I may have heard that stat incorrectly, but that's what I recall.
Biggest factor would have been his influence in terms of landing elite kids in state IMO. I still think he would have been superior to someone like jr Collins who had a pretty good career here.

I still am not entirely convinced Hand would have been a great fit in Bud's system. Most of Hand's high school experience came on the interior and I don't know if he had the twitch on the edge. Guys like Sweat, Dalton, and Jonathan Allen (who is also at Bama ahead of Hand) were much bigger losses.

My thing is that, when you played us last year you didn't yet know who you could trust in games at WR and H-back. The emergence of Michael Thomas in this game last year and Jalin Marshall and Ezekiel Elliot later in the year seemed to me to play a big role in the improvement of your offense. These suspensions largely creates that uncertainty again, at least for this particular game. Your unproven talent at those spots struggled against us last year, but in replacing these four players your unproven talent is going to be just fine this year? That seems to be the main line of thinking, and I would say it's a slightly illogical argument.
Hard to say. Probably equal to the number of players that choose a school where they end up starting, but didn't get the coaching needed to make it to the NFL. I mean Matt Cassel spent his entire USC career as a backup and still made it
But the backstories in this one are insane. I mean in season one you could easily figure out the Woody's character had a struggling marriage and he liked the ladies. Mathew's character was a little different but very dedicated to the job in his own way.
this season everyone has some elaborate backstory. I don't even know enough of all of them to write them down but it seems a bit much especially for only 8 episodes as cds7c said.

And to this I wonder how many guys miss there chance at the NFL because they go somewhere where they end up buried on the depth chart as opposed to going to another school where they would probably be starting. How many guys miss the NFL due to that I wonder? Or at least how many end up signing as an UFA as opposed to being drafted.
