First off, man it feels good to be back on TKP. Been away while interning here in Charlotte but I'm finally getting back into TKP groove.

As far as the commit, Philip Patterson? Saw he was announcing August 1st and he could have filled the coaches in on his decision.

I used to rent a house on Nelson Ave that was just at the head of the track. We were stationed at the Prototype up in Ballston Spa. I found out my brother-in-laws family settled in Ballston Spa. The first thing he asked about was if I'd been to the bottle museum. I guess it's sort of a joke for them even.

I am a Virginian who is a southerner (aka, born and raised south of Richmond). This whole post pretty much just pissed me right off.

I am confused, how in the world do you come on a Virginia Tech board badmouthing the entirety of the south? I'm not obtuse enough to judge "the midwest" but I will say that from personal experience, Ohio is pretty below average in terms of what it has to offer. A dirty lake? Fish that taste like mud? The BENGALS?!?!?! The reality is, you like ohio because it's filled with people who share the same values and behaviors as you..... The difference between Ohioans and southerners? We don't wish we lived somewhere else.

TKPers, did you know that for half the summer near Lake Erie, that Ohio suffers through swarms of flies so thick that it covers their buildings? What a charm! No wonder they cross that god-forsaken river.

Please note this was a joke created by a PSU Alumni. Not that it matters, I just want to keep my level of "asshole" at a respectable level.

When an older woman preys on younger males they are called "Cougars". So, when an older man preys on young males they are called? "Nittany Lions"

I'm sure anOSU folks on this board would like to use this if they never heard of it.

Just got back from SML this weekend. Caught a nice crappie out of a brush pile as well as a small channel cat off the dock. Going back on Thursday and hoping to get on some Striper early in the morning.

Trotwood is not meh it's , holy sh%# this is bad. We called it little Detroit, house fires, shootings my stabbings we got it all. That's why working there was great. Speaking of Miamisburg, Ever had hamburger wagon?

Sir.
May I recommend that since we are southerners and there is nowhere place on earth better to live, we have learned to not be in an impertinent rush to be somewhere else.

In your haste to live you have not recognized your presence in a place that demands reflection in its perfection.

I shall pray that your eyes be opened and that you return.

Where you from, French? And since you're the pro on this board, what areas in Southwest Virginia would you recommend?

I, sir, must apologize for my inability to apply but 1 turkey leg to your most honorable post.

I shall instead ,reserve a beverage, adult, 1 type, in the case that you shall make an appearance at my tailgating spot in lot #18.

Shall nearly all of the joys of opening day be rained upon you and your bretheren,

Verily shall the score not be in your favor but, find yourself among brothers, we shall break bread and share drink.
For that is the object. Shall we slap each other's back and return to the labor of the day. We shall produce that our unfamiliar brothers may benefit from our labors.

And the next Saturday we each fall upon the field to exalt the feats of respective gladiators, to forget, if briefly, the sour-salted fields of our weeks efforts.

I'm just putting this out here early, but when the Hokies make it to the Natty this year in Glendale, I will be offering primo deals to my Hokie friends in a beautiful 50s home in Old Town Scottsdale for the week :)

I don't get to play this "card" often with a football audience, so here goes...

I went to college with Brad at Belmont Univ in Nashville (93-97). I knew him back before the stardome. Truly a solid, humble guy.

Oh, and, my wife occasionally bumps into his wife (the Pincess Bride gal) at Wholefoods. So, there's also that.

Okay, that's all I got.

If you are in Bburg, go -- it'll be a good show.

Not getting it and not caring if you don't, that's my problem.

Beer is a wonderful thing, but not for everyone, and not for everything. I would suggest you avoid it as a youngster, except for steaming crabs and shrimp, maybe, but I think most of us here would say that alcohol consumption is a twin edged sword. I do hope you discover the Chesapeake Bay, it is a wonder of the fishing world, and a seafood bonanza. Be young as long as you can. The crusty world is gonna get you anyway, no reason to rush it along.
