The only way this season would satisfy me, short of beating OSU, is if we destroyed Clemson in the ACCCG. We owe them a whooping or 3.

edit: Yes, I'm fully prepared to be disappointed, before anyone "expect disappointment"'s me

Bringing back the old logo is great. I think it's more "on-brand". The other one was good, but this one speaks to the community and revolution that is The Key Play!

Looks really good on my phone. I know a lot of websites are changing to that side dropdown menu thing, I don't like it on a computer. I don't know how others feel, but I'd rather have options at the top.

They also lost a ton of talent from what was the strength of their team last year (their D), and they lost their offensive coordinator. I really don't understand the Clemson hype this year. I guess everyone just figures FSU lost too much, so someone from the Atlantic must fill that vacuum

Surprisingly the Wilson return far from guaranteed a win in that game. You can see one last little spike on the probability chart at the end of the game, when Roc Carmichael intercepted a pass in the end zone to seal it.

I don't think you have to beat us. If you lose it will be treated as the expected outcome and if it is close, as I expect, you will be the beneficiary of the "they hung with the defending champs" story one and it will be deservedly viewed as a good lose, if there is such a thing. In addition, I suspect there won't be any undefeated teams, although our schedule is favorable for us to do so, so 1 loss will be the norm. The key will be to look good winning. Foster needs to hang points on, like we did when we could, to continue to build support for you guys as the season progresses so you become the team that got better story, much as we did last year.

Wouldn't a NCG rematch be fun?

I want to be wrong, but I'm not getting on this train.

I'm concerned about the offensive line and Brewer's health/consistency.

I'm not totally sure we're going to be ok without Shai and Marshawn.

Defensive End depth worries me, and the loss of Revis is huge.

You can't, and they didn't, copyright the actual color ie. the hexadecimal number. They just claimed the term "Maize" for that yellow

Well, your description of the QB's role and the importance of a system is pretty much what almost every team wants, i.e. run the option and be able to pass the ball. To me, what was key was the ability to replace the QB and not miss a beat. I do agree if we ran an Oregan style offense the QB role is much more important but even then if your backup can run the system then you still are OK. Even so, in our system you really need a viable dual threat QB or else teams can cheat on the pass to stop the run. We just happen to have 3 guys who fit Meyer's system and are pretty good at it.

As for losing Zeke and 3 OL guys, yes, I doubt we would have performed as we did but then again can you name a team that can lose 4 key players on one side of the ball and not struggle?
As for your chances to get into the CFP if you win the ACC I think you have a pretty good argument to be included, especially since you CG should be against a team that would be high in the polls as well. The CFP format is forgiving of a loss, which is good.

My main concerns about Clemson are that they will probably have real issues on special teams and on the offensive line. The special teams were absolutely awful last year and they lost the two reasons they weren't the worst in the country (punter and kicker). The offensive line was awful at run blocking and rather thin and they lost their best lineman. They lost two players in the offseason in the exact spots that they couldn't afford.

It's enough for me to temper my expectations for them. I think they lose a couple of games somewhere along the line.

Best Flight of the Conchords song? Maybe.

They're turning kids into slaves
Just to make cheaper sneakers
But what's the real cost?
'Cause the sneakers don't seem that much cheaper

Why are we still paying so much for sneakers ?
When you got them made by little slaves kids
What are your overheads?

Its not tough to say what the voters would have done. They were very vocal and very clear about what they would have done. Our loss in Baton Rouge was a weight that dragged us down over the remainder of that season. Even with a win over BC in Lane, we would have been a distant #3 in the polls. We should have been in the discussion for the title game with Georgia and Oklahoma, but we were eliminated immediately BECAUSE of the loss to LSU. They were not about to allow a team who got slaughtered in a head to head matchup leap the team that performed it.
