2011 had a preeeeeetty talented team. Best two WRs statistically in VT history. 1st round draft pick RB. Logan Thomas was playing really really well. Hell, look at 2010.
Give the ticket office a call, they should be able to get you that info
I figured it out guys, he must have got caught exploring the steam tunnels. I always heard rumors you'd get expelled for getting caught down there.
.... I'm disappointed in us as a community that it's taken us this long for that pun
This could be their best defense ever, and the depth looks good at all positions there. I imagine against Furman, Purdue, and a much weaker ECU team this year our reserves will get plenty of reps on defense and offense. (This is assuming all of the starters are working out well and have a good chemistry established.)
I cannot recall last time we had the offensive talent of Hodges, Malleck, Cline, Ford, phillips, Coleman, Edmunds, McMillian, Rogers, Wright, Peoples along with a good starting qb in Brewer, capable backup in Motley, true wildcat qb in Durkin, and a potential star such as Lawson (All on the same team!). It blows my mind to think we have guys at RB the caliber of Williams, McKenzie, and McClease that they can red shirt. Cunningham, Burke and Edmunds assuming they play Burke and Edmunds at TE and not DE because I know Edmunds will not stay at LB. I also am hoping Asante, Bradshaw, and Knowles all step up at WR.
I am truly excited about this season and I believe Beamer down playing the team with words like "think" "have a chance" and "ok" are because he wants teams to be surprised when they play us. I think the offensive line is going to be special this year and have the most improvement of all positions. I think the starters are solid and I believe we have at least 5 guys who can give us a strong 2nd string, Stacy Searels has a good record as you can see at this link, http://www.hokiesports.com/staff/searels_stacy.html and I believe him and Burden will make the offense better.
Well. Nobody's Shai-ing away from speaking their minds here.

One of my favorites too. I think among Hokie fans he is underrated due to where he slotted into the timeline.
Just dont let all the Fullers come into direct contact at once.

"Yea I'm in high school why do you ask?"

# | "Talented Fuller brothers aim to inspire at their first family football camp" (Baltimore Sun) Hopefully many consenting, of legal age, coeds are attending and willing to host the next generation of Fullers...
YEp, Druckenmiller graduated year before I started there but I have heard many stories from older Hokies about how awesome he was too...
Unfortunately it was garbage time. It looks like he has thrown 10-15 passes this year with 3-4 TD's while the starter has thrown over 94. (Arena stats are hard to get up to date.) But he has helped in many ways even kick offs one game when the kicker got hurt.
It's not that the same lawyer be available for all students, but that the athletes would be getting something for free/cheap from outside of the university solely due to their status as athletes.
Couldn't Turk just represent one or two regular student pro-bono and be able to claim that his services are not unique to student athletes, thus, not an NCAA violation?
I just find it hard to believe that student athletes, many of whom are from lower income families, pay for a top notch lawyer.
Although it was fun, I am happy that my wife has decided to settle down and raise a family.
No one understands where the name came from. I make all this horseshit mute.
This needs to be promoted.

# | Bitter blog - Safety C.J. Reavis not enrolled at VT, appealing student conduct decision Okay, thank you for clearing that up. And thanks for the link. You'd be surprised at some of the student conduct incidents I've heard of....
Isn't this entire thread political?
I am drinking it with twice the sugar and I am diabetic!
Yes, I loved me some Bryan.
Good to see him continuing to play.
He was a warrior at VT.
Is there an age limit? If I lived near Baltimore.....

Pro-bono would be difficult I think, as he is known to represents athletes from VT. It's in Turk's best interest to help athletes in trouble because he is likely after other more lucrative work. I doubt he is only "helping" student athletes for the otherwise low, to no fee those cases bring. I am sure he finds ways to make things easier to pay, including lengthy payment plans, but his eye is on the bigger prize I would imagine.
For example, in my own work. I "help" a client with a design on a tight budget because I want the next project that is VERY well paid.
