I'll never forget that Duke basketball game. Something told me we were going to win that game. I don't know what. I was young at the time, just then getting into Hokie basketball, and I just remember asking my friends who they thought would win the game because I had this weird feeling. And that was at a time when my parents sent me to bed and wouldn't let me stay up for games, so I woke up early the next morning and watched the whole thing on TiVo.

Saw 170+ comments on a thread about a recruit going somewhere else. Expected the worst...Got a really long thread comparing Ohio and Virginia, complaints about Nova, Amish puppy mills, and some really bad (even for TKP) puns.

In this one case I'll say, thank goodness for the off-season.

It is all speculation. It's just interesting that Shai McKenzie gets in trouble with the law and doesn't get kicked out of school, and C.J. Reavis gets into no legal trouble but gets kicked out of school. If it's for cheating on a test or something like that, I can understand. But, the fact that this student conduct committee didn't get involved with Shai McKenzie's debacle, especially after everything that went down with Marcus Vick, is a little strange to me.

Yea except there's a Huge difference in Chuck Clark and Kendall Fuller

One could leave in a year as a 1st round Draft Pick, or chose to stay a final year and leave as Tech's most awarded player. In the next 2 Years I see Fuller winning both Chuck Bednarik Award and the Jim Thorpe Award

Clark is a great player

But huge difference

Well today I received another email from VT Football to order season tickets. Since April I have gotten 11 emails now

Given we are a power run team first and foremost that is not as much of a limitation as we can use the run to force Foster to make adjustments that give us passing opportunities

Foster tends to try to aggressively stop the run at the expense of allowing low percentage throws down field and adjusting to more conservative coverage than man without a lot of safety help only if he has to. He starts the game using coverages that most Offensive Coordinators are trying to force a team into because he trusts his corners to hold up on an island.

The key to beating a Foster Defense is almost always having an elite QB and/or WR that can connect on long passes or short passes into tight windows.

I'm not convinced your Bear look will be as successful as last year;

There's no guarantee that we'll use the same Bear look as last year. While it did help as far as getting players into better positioning before the snap, my understanding is that we basically played the same responsibilities as our Base D.

Edit: fixed typos

Assuming Facyson is good to go, and Clark obviously entrenched at FS then, who is the best option at rover to replace Reavis? Riley would definitely get consideration, but I remembered there being some question about his tackling ability. Frye would be a good bet, along with younger Edmunds or even Alexander. Lots of options, albeit a bit murky at this point. Would Riley be our #1 nickel or possibly Mook?
