Also in my search to find one of those sites that logs all tweets I did catch something about trust no one, but not sure if that was older or not. I feel like something happened on Twitter that is integral to this case.

Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher said he would make it a point to demand better from his players away from the football field. It looks as though banning his players from going out to bars is one of those steps.

You are right. The bear formation didn't have as much to do with the success of the defense as the elite level coming from the players.

So I'm driving around recently in SC and in seeing a lot of "VT" front plates, so since I have one on the front my car too I give the ole friendly hand on steering wheel wave. Yet not one single person has returned it, is that normal or am I being weird?

It is better to know we have stellar DB's this year and not have questions at other defensive positions. Just need another solid tackler with speed!
ESPN owns all of the broadcast rights for all ACC sports for a long time. That goes for TV and internet.

The post on the coaching staff knowing what he did and he won't be back no matter what happens with the appeal must mean it is something pretty damn serious.
If he screwed up that bad, then he doesn't deserve to be on the team. It is just a shame to lose a talented kid.
The entire point of this post is an answer to your question: A VT OL who's Wang is no longer stunted will be better for it's sack (total)

to me this sounds like cheating or he got caught with mary jane on campus, as those two would result in this kind of swift action. pure speculation though.
EDIT: ok, so we know, per barber's article from Turk's comments, it is not criminal. So the only thing I can think of is grevious academic cheating or fraud. Specifically, something like if someone was taking a test for him. Other things like plagarism and having crib notes during a test, while very bad, can still result in probation or at least not full on dismissal.

The concept that "If you are innocent the legal system will reach the correct result." is flawed. It doesn't always work out that way.
A team lawyer would be in place to protect the team's interests and not necessarily the player's interests. This is no different from lawyers that most businesses have on staff or on retainer. It depends on the situation, but in most instances the earlier legal counsel is involved, the better the chance for a positive outcome for the potential defendant.
In the business world, where I have some experience, corporate lawyers represent the interests of the business and not the interests of an individual employee. If an employee becomes named in a case, then they had better retain their own counsel because their interests and the interests of the business may very well diverge. I suspect that team lawyers work the same way. I don't believe that the athletic department can pay for a lawyer for a player.
Picture two hypothetical scenarios:
1) A player is near something that occurs and the police become involved. The player is asked to come down to the station to answer some questions. The police grill the player for a long time. The player makes a poorly judged statement. Charges are brought against the player. The player is suspended from the team. 12 months later, at the end of the trial, the player is found not guilty.
2) A player is near something that occurs and the police become involved. The team lawyer appears on the scene and clearly advises the player of his rights. The player declines the invitation to make a statement. No evidence is ever found that the player was involved with a crime. No charges are filed against the player.
Scenario #2 is clearly better for the team. I see nothing wrong with this. The right to legal counsel is baked into the US Constitution for very good reasons. The legal system is an adversarial system, with which most of us do not have regular experience. Lawyers provide that experience (just like mechanics, plumbers, and accountants do).
I think that Maryland game is my all-time favorite. Frank Beamer's mother had died that morning, and the team responded by playing one of the best games in the history of Virginia Tech football. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Tech has beaten a 1-A/FBS school that bad since then, and certainly not a Power 5 team.
