Great read, and that doesn't surprise me about Coleman. He showed his true colors of maturity, character, and heart when he was down on the depth chart. But as we all know, he persevered and rebounded in a big way and will be a real asset for our ground attack this year.

I don't think anyone was ignoring the fact that maybe Florida just had a better secondary. But the empirical data shows that the two are very close and its more or less a toss up between the two.
Therefore, is it that far of a stretch to say that one group would get the edge over another based off of perceived talent level? Which is exactly what those stars represent.
If it weren't for bad news, we'd get no news at all.
Gloom, Despair, and agony on me.
Funny how that works, too. For every thing that goes wrong, there are multiple things that go right. Polite and respectful attitudes in public go much further on the positive side than mistakes and transgressions go on the negative, unless you are predisposed to focus or revel in the bad stuff.
Drew Harris?
Pride and loyalty are normal attributes to a good debate. If you don't like the opinions, you are probably not interested in a debate at all, only affirmation of your own opinion.

FSU player in trouble. In related news, water is wet.

Man Jimbo's offseason is just brutal. Divorce, 2 players assaulting women, and its still only July.
I'm an awful person for chuckling at this
This would be even funnier if it wasn't sadly true.
But its getting to the point where even the Tally PD can't keep ignoring it.
I have been trying to think of something clever for two days now. Thank you for this
There is no precedent that would force the organization to abandon any Native American related name. There are plenty of professional sports teams that have names of that nature.
Yep... the end game is to eradicate all Native American imagery from the franchise, be it the nickname, logo, mascot, etc.
Once they're done there, they'll use the precedent to go after the Cleveland Indians, Atlanta Braves, and Golden State Warriors, among others.
there's 3 rack of ribs on the grill.. ohh wait wrong type of smoke.
Amidst all the other criminal behavior that as been allegedly swept under the rug by the Tally PD. The NY Times article from last year was pretty astounding. Of course, no convictions, or even charges, but where there's smoke...
Sounds like he could really get after ya.
yeah shocking to see 20 athletes accused of sexual assault/harassment/violence against women between the FSU football and basketball teams since 2009.. that's a staggering number
I agree going to Warriors or Braves or Natives and keeping the logo, colors, and traditions would be great, but I think the Oneida Tribe that is pushing this name change is against all names that refer to Native-Americans. My guess is if public pressure or League pressure finally forces the owner's hand, he'll have go away from the Native-American theme completely.

I'm really not disputing the interpretation of the issue; I'm merely disagreeing with your oversimplification of what good sampling is.
"Not a particularly insightful one in terms of the opinions of Native Americans as a whole"
I didn't say it was representative of Native Americans

Deep dark depression, excessive misery. If it weren't for bad luck, we'd have no luck at all...
Corn field philosophy, don't ya know? Edit: Hee Haw, for y'all too young to know.
