King's Dominion and Six Flags pale in comparison to Cedar Point. Everything else, I would say Virginia has got it better, depending on where you look in the state.

by my own accounts/relations with NCAA and schools yes a misdemeanor will be given second chance. Ultimately it is up to school/coach but considering he hasn't been kicked out of school I'd say it's a go we see him for Fall/summer camp

I'm wondering now how this affects his eligibility with the team? Will he be given a second chance with an upheld misdemeanor?

To be fair, you're exclusively describing Northern Virginia, which is kind of a weird (if economically and population-wise dominating) region of the state.

Most of what you listed is what people love about Virginia as well. Not that I want to put a dog in a fight, bias/home always wins in something like this, but just thought I'd mention that.

I like the list, mainly that you listed food twice as a reason, I respect a man's culinary desires.

Actually the reason I asked was because I had lived in Northern Va after graduating from Tech and disliked it there for some of the same reasons you just listed. What part of Va are you in now or did you live in? I too have moved away from Va.

Lake Erie

Well that's not typically viewed as a positive for most people I know (source: lived there for about 6 years).

Also, I don't know that I can agree with the hunting either. I'm not an avid hunter, but my dad hunts, mostly deer. Can't say he ever hunted much in Ohio compared to the amount of times he did in Georgia and Virginia which leads me to believe that it really isn't better. I have to say that VA has Ohio beat on state parks though between Civil War Battlefields, Shenandoah and the general Blue Ridge area. But hey, you guys have Amish people. They're fun I suppose.

might I point out that there is a team called the Chicago Fire. At a point in history, this would be considered incredibly poor taste. So does that mean that if enough time passes before you start referencing something, it becomes acceptable or are just incredibly inconsistent as a society (I'll take option B for 1000, Alex).

on another note. If the name were changed to the Washington Dumpster Fire, it would be a source of outrage for years and then as the term fell into disuse, it would eventually become so normal that people would think a dumpster fire was an NFL team...

Several things honestly;
The food, the amusement parks, no traffic every time I want to go somewhere, the people are more polite, the food, the golfing, state parks, caves, Lake Erie, the hunting is better, the list (for me) can go on for days. Obviously we won't agree on it and I think it's fair to say we're both biased. I just wanted to make it a point to say it is not the worst thing ever as people seem to believe. I've included a couple links of things to do, feel free to look if you have the time.

R+L=J can be just a part of a tragic backstory.

Kind of a distorted cause of Roberts Rebellion and the current state of Westeros. Obviously Robert was infatuated with Lyanna and when she was "kidnapped" it led him to a full-on rebellion against the Targaryens.

Except she wasn't kidnapped, she went with Raegar willingly. Robert can't face the facts that his lady ditched him for the crown prince so tells himself (and everyone around him) that Raegar had to be a kidnapper/rapist and just as crazy as his father, ultimately leading to the rebellion. Aerys' response to the Starks demanding the return of Lyanna didn't help of course.

Recall there's some fan theories that the lords of the seven kingdoms were plotting to depose Aerys because of his insanity, and replace him with Raegar (who was generally very well regarded in Westeros) by way of a Lords Council type coup at the Harrenhall Tourney. That plan went out the window when Raegar and Lyanna rode off from the Harrenhall tourney pissing off Robert.

That 07 team also got a very vindicating win in Lane against Bowden and Florida State. Great season, even if they went away from Ore at the end of the Orange Bowl....

So with it seeming like we're gonna be getting Shai back, what is his status physically? Will he be playing come September 7? We could use a back like him

I can't wait for 9/7. My dreams are getting more vivid - I dreamt this morning I was tailgating before the game and when I woke up, I thought for a good 30 seconds that the game was actually today and I had to get my Buckeye gear on. Then I realized it's still July and I just had to go to the eye doctor and work. Disappointment.
