Same. Anyone who can knock Columbus has never spent any time there.
Couple tweets today regarding the situation:

Shai should be back soon!

.....oh wait....
I have the same hunch. And yet, here I am, still asking. Because HOKIES
What made you enjoy your time there more? Just curious...
Look up a couple posts and then drink..
Bingo!
Something tells me you don't want to know...
I don't smell anything...wait, what's that? OMG!!

Yeah, I was at the 2011 ACC title game too and you're right that Allen TD catch killed the crowd. Maybe it was that or the fact that we had David Wilson and barely ran the ball, even before Clemson pulled away...ugh...Stinespring.
summary of your argument:
"All these other sports teams that have racist names, so the pro football team in Washington DC should be allowed to have a racist name too"
Not convincing.
My god, I didn't think it was possible to top the Paul Johnson.
Well done!
You just won the internet. Enjoy your reward.

I've lived in both states for considerable years of my life and I would honestly prefer Ohio. Not starting an argument and this has nothing to do with football but I enjoy my time there more than here.
Thank you for that. It provided a good laugh.
There's that word again...
The only reason this bothers me at all is that it means we're not landing any of the top10 prospects from VA in the 2016 class. (Pending any potential flips)
Was it because we act entitled?
Still mad about Stephone Anthony... please stop bringing him up. I'm trying to enjoy the fact that he's in the NFL now.
(Why, Bud, why!!?? Why couldn't we get him here???!!!!!)
So I am to believe that a team has been willingly referring to themselves by a self-deprecating, racist, derogatory name for decades? People proudly refer to themselves as Redskins and Redskins fans. That would seem to logically imply that "Redskin" is being used in a complimentary fashion. An ideal. An embodiment of an admiration of certain qualities that positively represent American Indians and which qualities you would likewise want to see represented by your players on the football field. If you wanted to call the team the Washington Dumpster Fires (regardless of how accurate that term may have been for some time now), that would obviously be a negative. Using Redskins as the team name is the complete opposite of that. Color is beautiful, no? And yet we seem hell-bent on making a bland, gray, little world for ourselves.
Agreed and it's his loss that he won't have coaches Foster and Gray for the next 3 or 4 years!
It's hard to be upset by recruiting anymore. We are what we are.
And this year, in particular, we don't even have a lot of high profile targets. Davis was way up there for me, but he's imminently replaceable. We need some good OL recruits, but mining guys we have yet to even hear about would probably work out just as fine as the guys you have.
Our regime change seems to be downright imminent at this point, so it's hard to expect recruiting to improve. Just hope this year has enough good players that it doesn't set us back.
the good news is that it seems we are identifying quality talent. I haven't followed recruiting that closely this year, but seems like plenty of guys we saw first or nearly first now have long offer lists. We are good at identifying good players, so go sign 25 3* kids and hope we get 10-13 or so who are productive.
Basically because the group is supposed to be geared towards the advancement of all races, or "colors."
I cannot believe that no one has posted the most obvious one yet:

Damnit! Half of the pictures on this thread do not show up on my work computer. Right after I posted this I realized that someone probably already posted it. I will leave it as it is. I will not hide my shame.
