I mean seriously, just look at this photograph, everytime it kinda makes me laugh...

Notre Dame is the Mr. Burns of college football.

I recalled Wang getting beat time and time again but I thought it was just me. (See what I did there?) It will be interesting to see if this year the protection is much improved with better line calls from Gallo, who from what the coaches have said, is as smart as they come.

Stanford also had Andrew Luck, hailed as the next Peyton Manning, and doing fairly well for himself in the NFL currently.

Arguably, that particular defense never played a QB of that level until that game.

Bud hasn't fared well against the Cali schools. Defense seems to hold during the first half and then the bottom drops out in the second half. Probably has something to do with the quality of QB play they get from their kids out there.

Was the Miami sack the Chikillo one? Certainly felt like McGlock struggled more with him that night than what shows up on the stat sheet.

BC returns Moore, Kavalec, Connor Wujciak, and Steven Daniels. While I think they'll take a huge step back as a team this year, that front 7 and a slowed down tempo should keep them in a lot of games.

Yeah, that's wrong... We may have gotten a slight bump in efficiency ratings adjusted for opponent, but not overall. We were #2 in S&P+ pass defense last year, #14 in pass efficiency defense, and #1 in completion percentage allowed. Even with all the big plays we were excellent at pass D and we return 3 (albeit out of 5) starters. The ranking is optimistic but certainly defensible and likely justified. You could easily make an argument for the top 4 teams to be in any order. The Footballstudyhall guys may not get everything right, but they rarely just say things without any solid support.

We had such high hopes after the older wang performed so well. Was the younger wang smaller? Was it endurance? Couldn't fill gaps as well?

Well, really hoping all the praise Searels was heaping on Gallo was well-earned this spring.

*Ahem* French, did you catch that bit about Gallo and analyzing his performance?

.....so what you're sayin is that our opponents will be going to the Gallo's Pole this fall?....

I'll see myself out

Granted, I don't know everything about everything here, but there's only really one tribe of Native Americans that I've seen truly offended by the name, and they live in New York. Then there's some other groups here or there.

Most other accounts I have read, Native Americans are either not offended by the word, or are offended by the idea that it would be taken away.

Most of the folks that I have seen be "offended", as I've said before, are those who appear to be offended on behalf of those who they think would be offended.
