I'm talking about what happened to safeties who came up for run support or corners who tried to run them down. What I wouldn't give for a back who squeezed 5-10 more yards out of every run just because they refused to be taken down 1-on-1. I'm hoping we have a couple of those who were just too banged up to show it last year.
Viewing the 5:00 minute video I initially thought the responsibility of the altercation was a toss-up, largely depending on one's values and views on men/women confrontations. However taking a closer look, D. Johnson started and escalated the situation.
1) At 0:18, the woman of interest appears in the view at the very bottom of the screen. She's behind the guy wearing glasses at the bar. She stands and waits patiently with no action till 1:20 , to either get a space at the bar or get the bartender's attention for a drink.
2) At 1:20 someone taps the back of the head of the guy wearing glasses at the bar. He turns around and talks with someone behind him (who is out of view) which causes the woman to back up slightly. This continues till 1:40.
3) At 1:42 the women and D. Johnson move to the space(s) vacated at the bar. The woman acquires first position at the bar. D. Johnson, not to be detoured while partially blocked by the other woman leaving the bar, shoots his right hand between the two women at 1:50. Using his right elbow, he pins the woman of interest against the guy wearing glasses. He's locked her with a 1/2 position at the bar, she is unable to move, so she turns around to look at D. Johnson. He is behind her, not beside her.
4) He then places his right hand underneath the bar as an anchor for more leverage in blocking her, as seen at the 1:53 - 1:54 mark. This action is not just a "bump".
Tongue lashing maybe, but I hate the attitude of "deserved the slap." The person who initiates violence is always wrong even if the person who retaliates might also be wrong.

I don't think anyone is saying that. (At least hardly anyone) What I, and a lot of people like me, are saying is that she is equally the problem that he is. From the comments of those who have responded to me, you would think I had about 10 women chained in my basement that I beat up for fun when I get stressed out.
They shouldn't have hit each other.
They both should have walked away.
Its really that simple.

In 2020 Bud Foster has left VT, it was a sad day. Contract NOT renewed, whomever is the AD is going to hear about it. Loeffer is also now the head coach at USCW.
Said it before, saying it again. There is no statistical evidence to suggest OSU suddenly got way better down the stretch than they were when they faced us. And now the Anointed One has shown that they really did very little different the rest of the season than the game they tried to play against us.
We're a matchup problem for the Buckeyes.

But....you're talking about a hypothetical of a a situation that I didn't even refer to.........

Yep. We were not an explosive offense at all, and if you go back and watch, the running game was really held in check. We essentially played keep-away on offense, and Brewer was absolute MONEY on 3rd downs. A lot of short out routes working to the sidelines, and a lot of misdirection as well. We did a great job of playing ball control and finishing drives in the clutch, but I wouldn't characterize it as offensive dominance at all. Lefty had a great game plan for that game, and it worked well in conjunction with our defense's stellar performance. I expect to see a much better offensive product from us on September 7th.

I completely agree. We came out strong, but managed only 1 drive of 20 yards or more the entire 2nd and 3rd quarters combined. Brewer had 3 turnovers, and the OL was average at best
If you knew my situation (in addition to the wait) you would say differently.
