Going to be honest, the only way you'd even get me to sit down and watch soccer is if the broadcast was all in Spanish.

Of course she could have hurt him, but a tap on the nose doesn't excuse a crushing right hand to the jaw by him.

Michael Holmes learned this as well, there is a difference between defending yourself and what that punch was to her face.

I read these comments and he was wrong to hit her but.....

I have a buddy that was physically abused by a woman. He was an athlete and he could not get assistance because it was a case of, " look buddy, she can't even hurt you."

That there is a difference in physical ability is no excuse, she should not have hit him. She does not get let off easily by me, simply because she can't throw a proper punch or is too drunk to do so.

She is as guilty of assault as he is.

I agree with you on the designations, but I like the stars separate personally.

I gave you a leg, not because I agree with you, but because everyone likes to pile on unpopular comments like yours and I don't feel like yours was downvote worthy.

In a sense, I get what you're trying to say. The girl was definitely not innocent here, and in our society of ever-progressing equality she has to be more responsible for her actions. However, that doesn't justify his reaction.

That escalated entirely too quickly. I think one thing that is often missed in these situations involving male athletes, particularly football players, is just the sheer strength they possess when compared to most people. You cannot convince me (unless the other person involved is brandishing a life threatening weapon) that someone with that strength advantage would ever need to take the altercation to the level that was shown in that video. Those who defend him by saying "she started it" or "she hit him first" just need to understand that males and females are not equal when it comes to physical strength (in almost all instances) and definitely are not equal when it comes to a football playing male versus a female. There were quite a few other ways physically for him to handle that situation that do not involve him hitting her with a right cross.

Also, will that one bartender open his eyes and clean up the blood drops on the bar and stop taking shots that are being given to him.

Non-reaction? Look again, the hipster douche hip checks her back towards Deandre at the same time of her 'punch'... in fact, she wouldn't have touched Deandre if not for that elbow to her back.
