I'm saying he's not auto jail for being a male and she's not auto get outta jail free just cause she's a girl and that's the way the thread started.
Like I said above, I agree but everyone is willing to throw him in the slammer while she gets a walk simply because she's a girl.
She does not get a walk just because she's a girl and he's not automatically guilty of the worsted of it just because he's male and more so because he's a male athlete.
At minimum, both are at fault.
I'm not sure everyone else is of that mindset, and while I haven't downvoted you once (nor do I think you deserve it) your posts in this thread seem to tend to the argument "he was justified his actions were okay because she hit him first".
If you're simply trying to say they're both at fault I agree 100%. If you're saying his actions were correct and justified, I disagree 100%.
Or you know you could just be the better person and walk away? Not everything needs to be treated as an "eye for an eye".
It's not all his fault, but her actions don't mean you have to stoop to her level as well.
I'm not advocating violence. I'm not even defending his actions except in an indirect manner to point out the double standard.
I'm advocating that she has no excuse to punch him.
That she's a girl and that she has an ineffective punch is no excuse.
I already stated that I wouldn't have hit her but she gets no slack from me, just as no one is cutting him no slack.
If you look at the full video, he grabs her arm when she raises a fist to strike him so she uses her other fist to strike him as well as her knee attempt to the groin.
She struck him twice while he was trying to keep her from coming in with that right yet it's all his fault.
I've dusted off Madden 25...with my Arizona team that picked up every available Hokie programmed into the game.
Tyrod at QB, David Wilson and Ryan Williams as RBs, Jeff King at TE, a WR corps consisting of Boykin, Coale, Fuller 2, and Royal. A defense with D. Hall, Flowers, Hosley, and Worilds.
The game came out a year too early to go 3 deep at QB, and I'm in the second year of franchise/career mode, so Vick retired. And I don't have the corresponding NCAA game to bring in the draft picks.
when you advocate violence as a legitimate response in a situation like this you're going to get down voted because you're wrong. It's not just an opinion. You are advocating illegal and immoral behavior.
He doesn't have any right to defend himself with violence because all he has to do to "escape" the "threat" posed by the person he started assaulting was to walk away. He shoved her, he threatened her, he grabbed her and suddenly it's her fault that he punched her in the face? Riiiight.
apples and oranges, this is a drunken bar fight instigated by a former college football player, who ends up punching a woman in the face because she has the gall to try and defend her position at the bar. It's not an abusive long term relationship..
#1 nobody has the right to assault someone in "self defense" when they can simply walk away from the altercation
#2 he was absolutely wrong to punch her in response to her drunken, awkward and weak attempts to defend herself and her position at the bar from his encroachment. She was not a threat that warranted that level of violence.
He had a lot of options including #1 above, shoving her out of the way, dragging her away from the bar, etc. Instead he overreacted and punched her in the face after starting the fight in the first place.
looking forward to seeing Dadi and the crew giving opposing offenses hell this season...Love it!
Whatup T.C!?
BTN has condensed replays of classic B1G games running basically non-stop right now. NCAA Football 14 helps as well, but I was always partial to the PS2 games because of smoother gameplay, IMO. So NCAA 11 on PS2 has been fun lately. And of course, constant TKPing throughout the day when possible.

Nothing better prepared me for work than having to make 8 AM call times. Thanks Mr. Weaver
Because they're afraid of Bud Foster.
Go look at the video, the gif isn't an accurate representation of the event.
Canadian Football is a good filler. The summer is also used for honing my skills on the ol' smoker, so on gamedays I can enjoy heaven. Hokie football and BBQ.
I don't think she could have, she was being held/pulled from the very start of the GIF
He had a hold of her arm throughout until after he struck her, if he was in fear of being hurt why would he not let her go and back away?
Picked up a serial down voter or 3.
Here's another opportunity for you guys to troll.
I wonder if he was dismissed because he was no threat to be the starting QB or because of insulting a female student.
To me, it's the 1 second pause. He is not threatened at all in that second. That's the second decent human beings choose to walk away. He chose that second to "teach her a lesson."
My daughter is 8. If she takes a swing at you, will you punch her in the face?
To be fair, he kinda ran out of backfields last season.
Screw this shit coach, I'm going to Athens.

Agreed. At the end of the day, communication through text is hard to get the point across, so I can understand why there seems to be a lot of misunderstanding in all the posters, especially when it's a topic like this.
