Not to keep reviving a dead thread but has anyone gotten the celestrium ring? Like people above, I could care less how valuable it is, I just want the ring. Does the celestrium hold up ok? Need lots of cleaning/maintenance? Look alright over time? etc, etc?

that raises an interesting question. If a receiver slides into the endzone, but does not fully control the ball until after he has crossed the plane (or the ball has, rather) where do you spot the ball? Because yes, he is down, but I'm not convinced he has control of the ball when he hits the ground.

Also, I saw a hold on #78 of cinci delaying the rusher and making the throw possible.

I took my son to that game for his birthday. We got to meet Tyrod Taylor and Ray Rice (pre-punch obviously). Got his picture with them, VT goes up on a big play late, got the keys out and screaming on 3rd and 10. And then a QB named Munchie runs a dagger through VT with a hail mary over A FULLER! After that play my son looked at me like I just told him there is no Santa Claus anymore because he is in jail after killing the Easter Bunny. Shock and Horror.

Wrong. If I know the word bounce like I think I do and I also know the word back (not the Miami kind), he should be here on campus again soon. I shouldn't be saying this since #sources, but I heard he was going to bring Drew Harris with him.

I played golf with my dad for the first time in at least 5 years last week. We only played 9 holes (completely sober too) and I'm sure I lost at least 5 balls. I'll probably go get some practice in at E&H's 8 hole course before I try playing on a for pay course again (E&H technically is a suggested fee, but I don't know anyone that pays it). I just need to remember to aim about 10-15 degrees left of what feels like is straight at the hole but is really about 10-15 degrees to the right of it, keep my head down through all of my swing so I don't hit the top of the ball or the ground behind it, turn my wrists over so I don't slice so horribly, and relearn how to chip and putt when I'm not playing on the Wii. I should be able to do all that in one or two afternoons shouldn't I?

After shooting an 86, on 9 holes of par 3, I no longer keep score, and just remember the great shots.

Like hitting the ball off the tee through a moving golf cart without hitting anyone. Or bouncing it between two cars on the highway and having the second car stop to cuss the group on the tee behind us. Or hitting a tree and bouncing onto the cart path for a 50 yard roll. Or sinking a five iron on a green I'm not aiming for.

I also always end with more balls than I started with, no matter how often I het water.

Would you rather be 4-8 or 6-6 playing cupcakes? If we're 4-8 then changes need made that might now get made at 6-6

My brother went there. Can confirm: the Undie Run is a thing.

I did notice in the scene after the initial shock of it, my thought was "Hmmm, there really wasn't a lot, or really any blood for a shotgun blast that close."

Thinking maybe rock salt or rubber pellets instead of shells perhaps.

This cannot be stated enough... The fact she shat all over the ACC and us in particular for the years she was supposed to be our dedicated writer and then gets a friggen promotion for it shows all you need to know about how much to respect ESPN and the crap they push.

So I just looked it up, and our regular season (that is, excluding bowls and conference title games) record in Neutral Sites, regardless of venue, is notoriously poor. Just look at our results over the past 30 years:

Oct 6, 1984 - 54-7 Win over VMI in Norfolk
Oct 18, 1986 - 29-13 Loss against Temple in Norfolk (later forfeited)
Oct 12, 1991 - 33-20 Loss against #1 FSU in Orlando, Fl
Nov 11, 1995 - 38-26 Win over Temple in Washington DC
Aug 28, 2004 - 24-13 Loss against #1 USC in Landover, Md
Aug 30, 2008 - 27-22 Loss against ECU in Charlotte, NC
Sep 5, 2009 - 34-24 Loss against #5 Alabama in Atlanta, Ga
Sep 6. 2010 - 33-30 Loss against #3 Boise St in Landover, Md
Sep 29, 2012 - 27-24 Loss against Cincinnati in Landover, Md
Aug 31, 2013 - 35-10 Loss against #1 Alabama in Atlanta, Ga

Suddenly, that 2017 matchup with WVU in Landover, Md doesn't look enticing at all.

After getting really ticked during one of the games last year, I pulled the kickoff stats. For some reason, I still have that file saved. It only goes through the Pitt game.

In 7 games, there were 30 kickoffs to the Hokies. 21 of those kickoffs went to the endzone. 11 were touchbacks. Of the other 10, there was only 1 kickoff where someone (in this case, Knowles) was able to take the ball from the end zone and past the 25 yard line. (He got to the 29.)

Of the 9 non endzone kicks, only one was returned for more than 25 yards. (Knowles got it at the 1 and ran 26 yards, then OSU gave us 15 yards on top of it.)

Now, the one thing I didn't dig deep enough to see was if a kick went through the end zone or was downed. But I'm sure that stat would only make our returners look worse.
