I may be the only person on here with good memories of that day. I was watching that game (and a lot of others) from the MGM Grand sportsbook in Vegas. Great memories.
So, this game, in summary:
So as we all know the term Hoki[e] was a product of a student contest. I think in this instance a poll would be a more efficient method to the first part of my proposal.
Part 1: Have the MV percussion write 4 red zone cadences. Heck, they can write 20 and let MV leadership and Dave McKee pick 4. Dave's a drummer, he knows what's up. Have them record the best 4 cadences and post them to an online poll through hokiesports or whatever online avenue is best. We then have a new 8 measure drum cadence that is only played in the red zone that is a fan favorite.
Part 2: Have a student contest just like the good old days of OM Stull for a new cheer to go with the new cadence. My advice is to not try to imitate Stick It In. Go a new direction, like having the 8 bar cadence apex with the entire stadium screaming HOKIE HOKIE HOKIE HI!
Or scratch part 2 altogether. You don't need a cheer. What you need is an atmosphere boost in the red zone.
Kendall had an int for a td and 2 PBUs. I can't go back and see if those PBUs were while covering switzer or not. Switzer also had 5 catches for 67 yards, but with us not using our corners on specific WRs no telling who the other catches were against. Also we're assuming kendall was the one covering switzer on that play in man-to-man coverage. he could have been dropped off in a zone or not even covering switzer on the play.
not sure how much it will matter either way. unless we miss on the WRs higher on our board I don't think we'll have room IMO.

Oof. This was not a fun one. Interesting that both things were the same game.
The actual stats of this project are killing me. I didn't see that game as I was working that weekend but remember seeing the score in the paper and was like "whhhhaaaattttt????" This was obviously the beginning of our decline as of recent. A play from the same game is a little underwhelming because it's like "Oh nice play! Oh wait its from the same game as above." Kind of like watching the end of the movie and then watching the rest of the movie.
