UNC took a big hit today. Announced Freshman phenom Caleb Wilson will miss an undetermined amount of time due to a hand fracture. Could come into play if he misses the rest of the month. Hokies play UNC on the 28th. Wilson, 6'10 and 215 lbs is averaging 19.8ppg, 9.4rpg, 2.7apg, 1.5spg and 1.4bpg. If it wasnt for Cameron Boozer, Wilson would have been a lock for AP Freshman of the Year most likely. He still may get ACC First Team along with Boozer.
They love to point out Lawal's vertical of 49.5". The NBA combine record is 48."

Can fast forward through commercials and free throws and my kids don't hear the language that Hokies basketball usually deserves. This was one they could watch the first half and then I recorded the second so avoid my phone until I have seen it.

The flex game is a concept that may work well when you have divisions such that you may not have played a certain team in the regular season, but I'm not sure that it works when you're creating an automatic replay of an earlier game.
Like if you had a 16-team, 4 division league, you can always have the last weekend of the season be two sets of 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, 4v4 between two divisions, where the 1v1 games are de facto semifinals for the conference championship game. But other than that scenario, what are you getting out of it?

Yeah I don't really get how you could help one of the good teams? Especially when it's round robin and you've already played that team.
They should've gone 5 noncon with like mandatory 3 P5 or something like that. With only 8 teams that would be feasible

# | Hokie Hoops Central: Virginia Tech (16-8) at Clemson (20-4) 7pm ACCN They really only missed 1-2 off their average shooting %. They had 4 days at home so not sure I buy it. I think they had #4 Duke on their brains and just weren't mentally focused on us.
Just based on the total comments in the thread I think a lot of people, myself included, had checked-out on the men's team. Its mildly infuriating to see us struggle like we have and occasionally turn the light on and win games like this... Just SMH because we should be at least 3-wins better, 9-6 in the ACC, 20-5 overall, and ranked somewhere in the teens. Granted, some of these loses were freak endings, but my frustration is that based on results like the one we got last night those loses shouldn't have even been close games based on the level we have the potential to play to.
Frustrating. Happy for the win. Still frustrating.
Not that I really expected a tournament appearance this year, but the team has a shot because of a couple wins like last night. Still, I think its going to take winning at least 5/6 of the remaining games with the only loss we can afford being either UNC or UVA, and then not getting bounced in our opening round game in the ACCT.
That was a fun game to watch. FAM!

That's my pull when a team misses a bunch of FTs (they also missed a bunch of bunnies). Next time we're in that situation, we need to muddy it up, play fast and foul.
