But our other long snapper just set the position record for the vertical jump! It was in the winter max testing numbers!
Isn't anyone listening?!?
Naming it Library was a genius move, you're right. I think I saw Jimmy's Chicken Shack at...Burress? Somewhere in Blacksburg, I think. And many times at the HFStival.
Does a bouncer named Bunny still work down at Sharkey's? Guy was cool as all get out. I didn't start going downtown until senior year or so, about 2004. Wasn't much of a drinker.
Come on Wolfpack, close out this 12-5 matchup upset. Lessgo.
More pictures. Like this one of my girl Pandora.

Totally convinced her to send me a pic while I was horsing around the other day, lol.
Well done by UConn, that's how you close out a game at the line: 16-17 to close the game
'Leg. Respect. Hoof bump to the shiny metal ass
Eh, he's kinda right.
I do like keeping up with all the conversations on here, so it's my own fault I keep clicking on it. So I guess the button on the side would remove the temptation and, as you said, let threads I was more interested in bubble up to the top.
I haven't seen it but if it is what it sounds like it is, then CBS rules
Wow that drive by Napier was amazing. Might have been the final nail for St Joe's
Wow Really thought he was going to hit that shot to win the game. Overtime here we come.
Gonna come down to free throws in this last minute.
We might legitimately see all the 12 seeds win in the first round if things keep going the way they are.
Yeah, I think for long term entertainment I would much rather see UConn move on but seeing another close matchup like the OSU/Dayton game is always good too.
This St. Joes v UConn game is a good one. As much as I dislike UConn, I really enjoy watching Boatwright and Napier do work. If St. Joes wins it would set up an interesting crosstown Philly matchup with Villanova though.
Too funny.
....and yet he STILL has more turkey legs than UVA had at its spring game....
Definitely an interesting option.
i have the same final 4 with Louisville winning it all again...unfortunately, i went out on the billion dollar bracket on the FIRST friggin game thanks to Dayton.....sigh....hope we can do the same to tOSU in football in September...
oops...i meant to post this in response to historyhokie above....AZ state, Florida, Villanova, Louisville - final 4
For me downtown wasn't as much about any one bar, but more about where on that night I knew someone behind a bar if I wasn't working myself. Working downtown came with that amazing perk, as long as you tipped well, you basically drank for free. If I had to list my top places because I knew people there it would have been:
1) Sharkey's (Being right next door to my bar we were frequently BSing with each other out front as bouncers)
2) Hokie House (Especially downstairs close to closing ordering a ginourmous breakfast to go with my well endowed drinks)
3) RiverMill (had the on again off again thing with one of their lady bartenders and the beer selection was phenomenal for Blacksburg at the time)
4) TOTS (Knew the entire staff, picked up odd shifts there occasionally if they needed help with a big event, always left buzzingly happy if drinking)
5) The Library (Some of the craziest S I ever saw went on down there in that basement) Saw several good bands there, also saw Jimmy's Chickenshack there. Probably the most ingenious bar name, since all that showed up on credit card receipts was Library, so kids with mommy and daddy's credit cards would rack up huge bills and tell their parents they had to buy some additional books or supplies.
6) Big Al's because that's where a lot of my friends would be
7) Drawing a complete blank on the name because it changed every year I was there but the building that's actually behind where Woody's/Sharkey's is. That place was always losing their liquor license for serving everyone and usually had solid DJs.
Places in my mind I didn't really think of as bars:
The Cellar (Always was a date place for me)
PK's (was more an afternoon food/drink/away game place for me)
The funny part was that I didn't actually drink most nights I was out because I was a brother of Alpha Phi Omega so I did a ton of designated driving late night down there. I might on occasion though have had the drunks I was driving home make a "side trip" to IHOP in Christiansburg to buy me breakfast at 3am. That place would have been the source of so many video's if phones and video recorders were prevalent then as they are now. There would be people getting it on in back booths or others asleep on the floor of the restaurant almost every weekend. Was always amusing. Oh the good old days.
I don't really have a lot of knowledge about OL, so I don't know if his measurables and tape suggest he would be a good fit, but it could very well work. The OG spot will be crowded so I'm assuming someone moves anyways.
I used to have the shirt "My two favorite teams on Sunday are Washington and whoever is playing Dallas" I think my distaste for Dallas fans is way greater than my care for the Skins. I really get annoyed when someone tells me they are a Dallas fan but have never been to Texas.
And the owner of The Cellar is a hardworking good guy.
Totally used it today lol
I don't think he is. I think he's just saying that it would be nice if there were a way to hide threads that you're done with, thus giving you more room in the side pane that you are not done with.

NC State is the anti-UConn, missed 11 free throws from the 3:09 remaining mark to allow St Louis to send this game to OT.
