I'd have to say my best Hokie moment was on my wedding anni (back in Jan). I took the mrs up to the big App for her very first time. She was taking a nap so I decided to go visit the 9/11 memorial. I was walking by the nearly completed Freedom Tower (OWTC) wearing my #SWAGGANGSTA black Hokie beanie when a group of Hokies walked by and shouted "HOKIES" quite enthusiastically. I gave 'em a double fist pump.

Well, All ACC, not all American.
Even in HS football with 12 minute quarters, games still take 2-3 hours. Advertising isn't adding that much to the Length of the game.
When I first saw this, my first reaction was WTF...
but the more I thought about it, from where he started in the beginning of the season to where he is now, Devin has certainly improved vastly. Is he ACC freshman all american? I don't know, but regardless Congrats to Mr. Wilson.

It makes a lot of sense to have an early signing period just like how basketball has. I think it particularly helps out VT's program.
- VT does a great job scouting prospects. If there was a signing period a guy like Brady Taylor could've been committed and VT wouldn't get big timed by a program who was waiting on others. A program like OSU wouldn't be able to just go down the list of a bunch of national prospects knowing that they could possible get a late flip from a less traditionally prestigious program.
- With an early signing period it might give VT an advantage on keeping VA/local prospects in the state. Recruits would have their official visits earlier but it still would be easier to coordinate visits with family to the local school rather than some place further away. Also VT has the ability to evaluate the in-state prospects more in depth earlier on than an outside program that can offer late.
- It might make a little dent into some of the dirtiness that goes in recruiting with some of the bigger programs.
Pearl is the all in hire the team needs, but it's going to take time and ultimately may not end up happening. I believe Seth is still on the payroll another year, JJ has a couple years left and Weaver is on the hook for 2 years at $450,000 each year. JJ will sit down with Whit, if he hasn't already and is supposed to discuss each player and the direction he has for this team. Put that together with the program wanting to keep the recruits around, even though they will lose Wood, I just don't see JJ getting canned until after next season if anything is to happen.
I had a friend do this and tried to go to it every year. It's a lot of fun and it's something different. Definitely a good idea to check it out for a while if you don't have plans that day.

I agree with you, but something IS happening for those other 2 hours. You are buying food and drinks if you are at the stadium or if you are home you are grabbbing an ice cold Raging Bitch (or 5). All this, directly or indirectly, goes back to the teams which is why you wont see a shorter game.
The halls of course! though Femoyer hasnt been a dorm since there was fire. Now amongst others the NROTC unit is there, so they put a big anchor out front of the building named for the Army Air Corps recipient...

Love this character! It's great to see the show's writer shares the same disgust at America's growing pandemic of "literally" misuse.
So what I took away from this is that HF will be a bad mother fucker on the VT defense, just not sure where exactly he will be lined up.

Our most experienced Ds have been our best Ds. When we have to replace a lot of experienced seniors, our D effectiveness generally drops. For exceptions look to years like '06, when we replaced a lot of senior linemen with guys who had been rotating for two years so we didn't lose a step.
Long time ago when I lived in NYC, it was cool to run into Hokies. Be careful with that double fist pump over by 42nd and 8th. Some folks might get after ya, unless you like that kind of stuff.
