NICE JOB. Ive spent 3 of my 4 years on the 4th floor of Monteith Hall! Thomas, and Femoyer (the Monteith clones are also named for award winners, and the story of Major Williams is pure badassery)
There actually is a picture of his grave up in the lobby along with a plaque of the citation on the outside.
The Corps museum, which is now on the 4th floor of the library, has the flag that was given to his family and later donated to the Corps!
We also have Sgt Gregory's actual medal, down in special collections. He was the first native Virginian to be awarded the MoH, all the way in WW1, and he was also the only of the recipients to attend VT AFTER receiving the medal.
I will be extremely disappointed if we ever drop Nike. Nike is the premier football brand. If we went to Adidas I would reconsider my annual donation. Adidas has no place in football.
When Bruce Banner gets mad, her turns into the Hulk, aka Sam Rogers. When the Hulk gets mad, he turns into Chuck Norris
Jesus can walk on water
Sam Rogers can swim through land
Haha - that is funny. I've had some weird ones pop up too.
I thought these helmets looked like somebody found a box of leftover window decals and thought, "Gee, I bet we could put these on our helmets!".
The best estimates of Chuck Norris's age are best guesses only. The only way to be certain would be to saw him in half and count the rings of pure awesomeness.
The only thing hard enough to cut Chuck Norris is Sam Rogers, and he signed a mutual non-aggression pact with Chuck.
Ergo, nobody really knows how old Chuck Norris is.
It is a strange coincidence that historical times older than a couple thousand years are referred to as being "b.c."
Yeah, I'm not really getting that one. The Foghorn Leghorn was atrocious, while the fighting Gobbler one is probably one of my favorite helmets all-time. I always use it in NCAA 14 for bowl games with all maroon.
They are fake and have been floating around for a while. @NikeBased isn't affiliated with Nike, and the mockups were done by someone called Mr. Design Junkie. He did these for a bunch of colleges, and NFL teams, all following the same template.

Nope. I'm married. It just showed up down there when I clicked on the thread. Funny though.
Rogers is a Soph.
Edit: Nevermind, I forgot this is the 2015 chart...
I like seeing who is committing where, keep tabs a little on the top recruits in the state (or the top targets we have out of state). But generally I don't pay attention to any of it until the season starts (when I do most of my football attention-giving) or until around signing day. Recruiting is a fun topic, but not to be taken too seriously.
A decommit basically means somebody has convinced me that your school kinda blows. You never come back from that.
This seems more like a replacement for Jalen Christian at WR.
This...just...this
Yes, I did. Seemed appropriate to rehash it here.
This exact situation occurred a few years ago with the Norfolk Christian guys: Kwontie Moore was a pretty highly regarded recruit so UVA recruited him and three of his teammates. Not saying that his teammates weren't any good, but one of them (Wilfred Wahee) probably wouldn't have gotten an offer otherwise. It's a pretty dangerous game to play because a lot of things can go wrong, the most obvious being that the superstar plays the system to get his friend an offer, then commits elsewhere leaving the school with a recruit they don't really want and a recruit going somewhere out of their league.
We tried this recently with Marquis Williams and Kevin Asante and that did not work out at all. I'm open to trying it again since Settle is elite and the other guys seem solid, but again, it's a very high risk-high reward approach.
EDIT: These guys are all elite players so I say definitely go for it. It would not surprise me one bit, though, if we landed none of them

NEXT!
Projected as a CB right now.

I am going to assume this is Moorehead #ChoppinWood doing the work on the West Coast from his old stomping grounds.
excellent point. Rare circumstance indeed. leg for you
The whole "next man up" thing is getting old. These are young kids that are making a decision that going to affect their entire life. Let them make it. Until the rules of the process change they can commit and de-commit as many times as they like.
Both Wright and Rogers are going to be True Sophomores next year. Wright signed in 2012 but didn't enroll until January of 2013 so last year was his first season playing. Rogers walked on as a Freshman last year as well.
EDIT: Sorry, since it's been so long that this thread has been alive, I forgot that the depth chart and years listed would be for the Fall of 2015 season. Leg for you
I can see the advantages but honestly it's a numbers game. When you're talking about 5 or 6 kids that's a big gamble. If you really only want 2 of them and the other 4 are really not suitable then you've burned a lot of scholarships.
I agree but I think with all five of them holding offers (and being highly touted recruits), it's clear that all of these bromigos are guys the staff wants unless there's some personal preferences by our staff.
Even if the jokes aren't funny...YOU WILL LAUGH...after all, its Sam Rogers.

I guess if Skip Bayless has followers, anyone can.
