That's a friendship that goes back quite a few years, this article covers a lot more of the details.
Here is Rucker singing the National Anthem at a Tech game in 2011
I can remember Hootie and the Blowfish playing Tech several times in the late 90's as well.
When I looked at the rankings just for D-Lines, what stood out to me was how we got to no. 5 in adj sack rate. On passing downs we were above average ranking no. 41 with a rate of 7.8%, but on standard downs our defense was ranked no. 1 with a rate 11.9%, 3.2% higher than the no. 2 school.

I don't know if he's currently a TKP member, but I suggest AJ Hughes, assuming it wouldn't cause him eligibility issues.
So if you take those three situations and you eliminate one, now youre down to two.
Lefty is learning me so much about footballs.
Good job. Heck of a thing.
Those double jackknives, they'll get after ya
Oh yeah. I guarantee you the head coach, Ned, was telling his boys to wait on the starts. In fact, he was probably screaming it.

# | Bitter blog - Loeffler talks QB situation, why VT is open to accepting a transfer And one for QBs as bulls.
And apparently there must be a closet wahoo troll on here that didn't agree with me.
I agree with Andy. If he writes a post, you should click on it.
Also, I am glad that Coach Loeffler saw the same thing as we did in our film review. He considers this an open competition and he understood that Leal wasn't prepared to play. And that isn't a good sign, because being a quarterback requires intense preparation. It was evident in his failure to see Byrn and Caleb matched up several times with linebackers in man coverage. When you add in that he doesn't have overwhelming physical ability, the only way he will win the battle is being the most prepared guy who can put the ball where it needs to be.
Congratulations to our Hokie swimmers! Great job, guys.
You know its bad when even the magic Google fails to bring you a result....but of course, there is one school leading the rollup
West Virginia University
and of course its sold out.
So I for one was sick of seeing UVa this and UVa that after they beat Cuse tonight. This definitely brightened my day!!! Have a friend who is a UVa fan sending me crap tonight but this shut him up real quick! Go Hokies!!!
It's only March and Tech has won an ACC Championship. 2014 is off to a good start.

Will it play a part? Sure. Whit will definitely take into account a pretty full house for a game. I don't know how they counted attendance as part of the article but Hokiesports.com is also tracking 6546 as the attendance so I have to think that includes the students attending. Regardless, I think the change in their ability to remain competitive in games over the last seven games has probably secured JJ another year on the bench much more than any attendance number.
Haha so true man!
Did Whit post another tweet saying $Ca'Ching$? It could be like his version of "Choppin Wood"
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Virginia Tech, 2014 ACC Swim & Dive Champions!!! This is huge boys. Our swimmers worked their balls off all year to accomplish this! Congrats to all the coaches, swimmers, and alumni who laid the foundation to bring the H2okies to where they are now (Scobeard, etc.)! It is a great night to be a Hokie!
They all played to safe as you could probably tell as before each swimmer went off the blocks waited until they knew the swimmer ahead of them touched the wall. Well coached and good job VT Men swim and Dive!!
That was exciting to watch!
Its official Virginia Tech wins the ACC championship in mens swimming and diving
WE WON IT!!!
I saw Bucky today at the ball game. That guy is huge. All joking aside, he looks to be 6'7 easily

They didn't have the 2nd best OL. They had the 2nd biggest disparity between their O-line and D-line where the O-line was superior. That says more about their defense which was the equivalent of a bag of flaming dog poop.
