I'm with Fernley on this one. Having exactly zero on-film proof of what he'd want them to do and being on the job a grand total of about 4 months, his reputation alone got visits from two of the best in the country and commitments from 2 very solid QB prospects.

I can't help but think that a QB Battle Royale will make spring and fall practices more focused and intense across the entire offense, if not the entire team.

We'll light up W&M to start the siege fire at the Horseshoe!

Some recruits/players tweet out links. Aj Hughes did it Juice did it, Exum did it. French is pretty much part of the coaching staff.

I agree with not knowing from a muscle memory type of knowledge what the heck the temp is.

I usually have to go back and relate, ok, 100 Deg C is boiling so 20 deg C is 1/5 of boiling so 1/5 of 180 F is about 36F.

Ok, I might need a jacket if it's windy.
The breeze is 23 kph.....

Celsius reminder poem:

30 is hot
20 is nice
10 is cool, and
0 is ice.

Now back to VT sports and pie!

That recipe sounds devilish, and needs to be standard tailgate fare for all LOLUVA whippings.

This is true. Understand your metric system kids.

However, despite living in the metric/celsius system for the past 18 years I still have no phucking clue what 20 degrees Celsius outside means until I walk the phuck outside.

I figured it out for everyone. Loeffler is a match-up and numbers guy, so why wouldn't he recruit a true QB, a RB/QB, and a WR/QB? I think he should have some sets with just McMillian and Durkin in a Double Wildcat formation. McMillian gets motioned out wide and Durkin can pass or run with it. McMillian gets the ball and can hand it off to Durkin or pass as well. That would be one exciting offense. You're welcome Coach Loeffler.

Beer brewing world is mostly in Metric now.
If I didn't convert voluntarily, I'd have to convert kicking and screaming.
Let's face it, even though we're used to the old system, it's getting harder and harder not to go metric. right now is the hard patch where half the stuff is in each system requiring every single action to require conversion one way or the other.

He's one of the coaches for the breds who tweets "f*** VTech", "none of my players will ever play for the chokies", etc.

Are you being negative or matter-of-fact?

Regarding QB's we may have ended up at 4th and 5th choices but let's be honest without Lefty these two would not have even been a choice, let alone the other three QB's we chased. Both Ford and Durkin choose VT because Loeffler is the coach and they want to be coached by him. Hell, Durkin never even visit campus when he committed. That isn't just an improvement that's a monumental shift in our ability to get quality QBs. Nobody should feel disappointed with that as it's all upside.

Part of me wants Leal to get his shot but another part wants Ford or Durkin to grab QB1 and light the field on fire. If that happened then we would be serious contenders for top QB prospects in the nation next season. We already gave them offers.

My read from French's analysis was that he could really benefit from a redshirt year before really competing for the starting role. Mechanic's issues really should be addressed before he is being considered as a starter. In past years that might not have been the case (See LT), but Loeffler has done a great job in getting in different styles of QB's in the door. It sounds like next year we are going to have Leal, Ford, or McMillian.
