My curiosity got to me, I had to look this up for the context. Pretty funny.
I think our NSD is turning out better than our season.
YOU!! -Coach Fondue
(p.s. - And our spring game attendance!)
Frank is going to be in heaven with all these new kickers they're bringing it.
I actually saw him make that kick (was against Radford). He had just made a 40+ yarder (45 IRRC). He made that 55 look easy. I'd say it had another 10 yards on it (so in reality it had another 5-7)...yeah, was off a tee, but still very impressive. When I got home I looked him up and he did not hold a VT offer. I was shocked. If we lost this kid in our own backyard...yikes!
Glad to have him aboard. Strong leg, ball really boom off his foot, good height.
Tennessee already sold out their allotment and have asked for more tickets from the promoters...just FYI.
I've had that same dream... it was horrible.
I once had a dream we beat boise st...
I googled just to see if any of them actually played qb and found this. LOL

"Headlined by quarterback and kicker Michael Santamaria, who committed to Virginia Tech as a kicker in July.."
looks like we got us a QB!
Think positively. At $25 down now, you have 3 years to come up with the other $75 per seat.
I thought we already had a Hughes that was a jack Tyler that can kick.
Dude on the right just cheezin.

yeah i understand. i just know that most of those seats are going to suck and elevated prices will make it a tough ticket for a fam of four. just a bit whiney about it. I will prob go regardless but I really want this thing to set records that aren't going to be beaten soon.
I'm not disagreeing with you, just playing devil's advocate.
This game is going to be billed as essentially the game of the century. It will be an historic event. People who aren't even big fans of either team will WANT to be there (in the mind of the organizers) because it will be the largest crowd in the history of the game. I think they're banking on people being willing to fork over the cash to be part of something huge.
I wish the prices were lower too, but I can understand why they're inflated.
Speaking of spring games....
Vick tells the show that he will be back for the 2014 Spring Game and a regular season game, as well. #Hokiesโ Kyle Bailey (@TheClubhouseKB) February 3, 2014
A 55 yarder in high school? Isn't that kind of a big deal?
Is this our next kicker?

Are you sure we shouldn't be looking for our QB of the future out of this group?
One of them would make a great tight end, for sure
The Slye kid can be the next Jack Tyler, who can kick
Is this just open to students or avail for fans as well?
I can't imagine these ticket prices are going to go over well. If they want to set a record of attendance the prices should be lower. I hope they cut the cost a bit because I would love to be there with family but that and season ticket costs together would get a bit high.
I think wright did too good a job in the bowl game to not get a real good look at carrying the ball. Maybe some swaps with an RB blocking for a FB run.
With a name like that, you know he's going to work out great for the Hokies!
2 that I know of. I can't remember the other guys name but I think he's from North Stafford?? IIRC he also had a pretty solid resume. It's nice to see that Beamer is trying to address some of the woes we've had on special teams.
Now that I think about it, we can almost field an entire ST unit with just the incoming running backs. With how athletic they are that could bode well for us. :p We've certainly been lacking in the talent department and that shows up in the most glaring way on special teams (or not so special teams, depending on how you see the glass)
EDIT: I forgot about Slye, see below.
-Michael Santamaria
-Joey Slye
-Carson Wise
Slye was an all-state kicker and linebacker so if he doesn't win the kicking job, then I suppose he could play LB full time? I mean we all know we need depth at LB.

You are right, we won't sign every target but, we'll get what we need, our world class coaches will train them and mold them.
It's great to see this group so excited for each guy and to wish them well when they decide to seek their lives path somewhere else.
So rare to find sportsmanship like this anywhere.
