It is interesting he included Shane in his "track meet" tweet...
(could see him poking some fun at HS buddies, but at a college coach?)
FTFY

This should be known as the "Mike London calls a timeout" gif. The wimmins are 'hoos and the guy's a Hokie.
Would it be a violation or something for Shane to give him a facility tour without it being his official visit?
Speaking of tailgating...is VT getting the ESPN3 live stream treatment on the 5th?
Edit: don't see it on the schedule, but GT has a signing day special, along with Pitt, NC State and FSU.

She needs to sort out her priorities.
This image is faked. You can clearly see Sam Rogers' foot in the background.
Well, I want to agree with you about Anthony but he was a playmaker this past season for Clementine. Grant, however, has never lived up to his 5-star billing.
All I remember is 8 straight, 10-2, Jim Davis swattin' 'em @ Miami, and how great a kicker Brandon Pace was...
I just looked at the Ford Pun thread before this one, and was thinking "I hope we land another McKenzie, all the Ford puns are really DOGGING me..." and was going to include Spudz...then saw you beat me to it.
Must have been a Probe.
I think you missed the PUNt of his post....
I love it. Keihn has been all over these guys in the past week. Including when Nnadi posted the pic on instagram he tweeted out for Tech fans to go vote. I have a feeling that all the recruits that we will have hopefully commit in the coming days Keihn had a lot to do with it.
That's pretty ridiculous. If he is trending back towards Louisville, it's very slightly. I still feel much more confident about him than I do about Nnadi and Harrison.
Isaiah Ford put up 59 points in his basketball game tonight. Talk about an important potential VT scholarship. Seems to be trending back towards Louisville though.
I completely agree. I'm very much looking forward to Wednesday night when I can sit back with a lovely grain-based adult beverage and peruse our haul and their various highlight tapes. Then just rinse and repeat and wait for spring ball to start.
Agree 100%. All of the rumors are killing me, I just want to know who commits where so I can move on. Wednesday come faster!
Glad to see another recruit stepping up and recruiting fellow recruits.
Isaiah and raymon need to commit this weekend lol no actually though I'm seriousβ Melvin keihn (@K_Melvino15) February 1, 2014
Honestly reading through this thread all I can think about is how much I want signing day to come and go. It's exciting for a while but then it just becomes exhausting. I will be excited to look at the guys that do sign, and then we just have to move on and wish everyone the best. I wish I could make myself not follow recruiting though.
Why? Did Rogers replicate himself?
It was a poor comment but I have said things when under a spotlight that in hindsight were awful so I won't bang on JJ too harshly for a comment where it appears he was trying to sell the direction he thinks the program is headed with young talent like Thompson. I don't necessarily agree with his assesment of the "growth" of several freshmen and his comments about a team that hasn't quit but if I was in his shoes I would probably be selling that publicly the same way....and then going back to my office to draw up an offense for my team to actually run.
I don't argue with Raines not living up to his potential. And I have spoken to JJ and have found him to be a nice guy.
But the Roanoke Times is not the place to take a cheap shot at one of your players. Any leader, especially a head coach, needs to be better than that.
here's a crazy idea: instead of speculating about who is going to replace our current coach, who probably won't even be fired this year, we actually support the program and try and understand how hard his situation is?
Yes most of us that follow the program knew this was going to be a bad year. My only stipulation on JJ staying was that the team appear to continue improving and give top effort regardless of outcomes.
In my opinion they have done neither. The young players in several cases appear to have regressed. We consistently fail to seem to have a game plan for our opposition on either end of the court and the last two weeks the effort has precipitiously fallen.
As far as speculating on the need for a new coach, the news media is openly discussing the issue so it can't hurt us to be well informed as a fan base as to the possibilities especially in light of how far behind we are as a school when it comes to fundraising.

IF, this young man Wants to see more on VT this weekend. He will get the chance, either to See what He is missing or See what He might enjoy. I bet he gets a tour...
