It always amazed at how stringent Sorority recruitment was. I enjoyed the hell outta Rush Week, and really found a great brotherhood when I took my bid.

That's spot on.
I went back and reread the interview, and there were no donations from Hokies in the NFL last year, so maybe he has been in past years, but just not last year.
Saw on twitter that Babcock applied for the job. Ballein is a GREAT asset to Virginia Tech and I appreciate him very much and I think that Babcock is the answer for this program right now and I would be shocked if it will be anybody other than him.
I agree, he's definitely faster than your average 6'6 260 QB, but I think a lot of people overrate his running skills. Don't get me wrong, he can truck people like no other, but he severely lacks the agility that other mobile QBs have. He's so powerful running North-South but he's not a guy who can juke and make all the moves it will take for running at the next level to be a real asset. He's much more a slightly faster Roethlisberger than a slightly slower Cam Newton.
And I would love for my Steelers to draft him, IDK how likely it would be since we drafted Landry Jones to "groom" last year though, but if our FO likes him they won't let Landry stop them from taking him. The Steelers need so much defensive help right now though that I doubt they take him unless he drops to at least the 5th round, which doesn't sound like it's going to happen with how much people love him at the Senior Bowl.
I was curious about the same thing. Maybe OP meant donor specifically to Hokie Club, not just VT as a whole?
Our professional athlete alumni have made almost $48 million and haven't donated any (I assume/hope they haven't been targeted/asked, not that they don't want to donate).
I'm almost positive I read a while back that Michael Vick was one of the biggest donors to VT, but I really can't remember where I saw that now.
Go to my Rams, he could be a potential backup/replacement for Bradford if he doesn't pan out.
I didn't think about the Saints. That would be good. I think Stafford has been so inconsistent I could see a fan base calling for the switch to early. Pitt is intriguing with the Qb comparison. Though I feel like they struggle in the receiver department like LT3 had at VT. San Diego could be good too with the year Rivers had. Just as long as he doesn't take any throwing mechanic tips from Rivers.
San Diego, Pittsburgh, New Orleans. Those are the only three scenarios I see him succeeding in. Most other teams either don't have a great quarterback or have a young quarterback already. He would fit best in Pittsburgh in my opinion because I think he's more like Roethlisberger than people think (just because he's big and fast doesn't mean he's a great runner, probably the least agility you could ever ask for in a runner). He just needs 3 or 4 years to learn to how to actually make a read.
I'm a Panthers too and as much as I would like to see Logan as our qb Cam is too young and doesn't have the experience as much as other teams with established qbs out there and he would really never see the field behind Cam
I think Rodgers or Stafford are too young. You'd want him to be behind a great qb but one that isn't going to be around for 5 plus years. San Diego and New Orleans come to mind. Rivers and Bree's both had phenomenal seasons but are both in their mid 30s.
there is also a big difference in moving from Richmond to Blacksburg versus moving to a mid western state.
Sure but why leave VCU for VT? He's built the program there (with a little help from Anthony Grant before him). I think of it to be slightly similar in some aspects to Beamer's decision to stay at VT when UNC and other schools came calling.

My wife and I have rec'd birthday and anniversary cards from the Hokie Club, but nothing else...even after I stopped giving last year. We were Platinum club-seat ticket holders, but when we stopped giving no one contacted us to find out if there was a problem or even if it was an oversight....nothing. I think that is symptomatic of the apathy. From what I have seen/heard, no one is ever contacted.
