Actually KMART had theirs from 6AM Thanksgiving Day....and were open all through that night. I am thankful I realized early that retail wasn't for me.

I think they are our biggest threat for Harrison, he has a child so I'm betting he wants to stay home. Though some people are encouraging him to leave the state due to some of his friends being a bad influence, it'll be tough to keep him fully focused on football when he's 12 hours from his kid. I hope we land him and I hope it doesn't turn into another Manning situation...

I agree that if it was a big stage (night game, quality opponent) that it could be a big opportunity for the program to make a statement. However, UVA is looking at another 2-5 win season, which as hilarious as it may be for us, will continue to prevent our rivalry from ever capturing the attention of the average college football fan.

People are crazy enough to camp out in front of Best Buy and Walmart for Black Friday deals. I think I can slip out of Thanksgiving desert and head down to Blacksburg if there is a game Friday.

Dresser redshirted 3 good wrestlers this year, one being an All-American last year. I assume he may doing this to put the pieces together for a really good team the next few years.
Everybody does realize this isn't the first or only college football game to be played on Black Friday, right?
Last year there were SIXTEEN other games played the day after Thanksgiving, including a Big 10, SEC, ACC, and 2 PAC-12 matchups. How many of you remember those games or any huge national spotlight from them? Nobody cared that Miami and Pitt played on Black Friday last year, much less what uniforms they wore.
Fact is, this situation isn't close to comparable to the Labor Day game or even a Thursday night, where there is one national showcase game and we are starring in it. Chances are this will be a 3:30 kickoff and we're playing stinking UVA. It's not seen as a national rivalry, and this game is not going to capture the attention of a national audience or talked about on ESPN, regardless of what uniforms we wear.
Sorry if I sound like a negative nancy, but this game is getting blown way, way out of proportion for what the national perception will actually be. Black uniforms aren't going to change that.
I feel like the oldest person on this thread right now. Our colors are incredible, so why the need to be like everyone else and pull the whole blackout thing? And to those of you saying it'll serve to hype our players to play OUR FUCKING ENEMY. Do you think our players really need the motivation? It's UV-fucking-a. That's all the motivation there is!
