THIS! I've been saying the same for years now. I can't wrap my head around having a brutal week 1 matchup followed by a week 2 cupcake. Thats backwards. Its called a tune-up for a reason!

New (sort of) member here. I actually registered a few years ago but only stopped in to read the occasional article, never visited the forums. With TSL's recent demise I figured it was time to make the switch.

Yep - agree with you on that idea. Maybe an all-black uni with maroon numbers and a black helment with a maroon VT with white trim. Cruhland.... calling Cruhland...

I could agree that a Spring wedding might be as nice, but fall in Virginia is just awesome.

And you'll have a tough time selling me on a winter or summer wedding.

No official word yet, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's Western Michigan. Homecoming is usually in early October, but we have no October home games until Thursday night against Miami 10/23 (my birthday, so the Hokies had better win!). Add to the fact that Western Michigan would be a traditional "soft" nonconference game and it spells Homecoming.

i live in north carolina so the fact i have an opportunity to make it to three away games is pretty sweet. i really have no major issues with the schedule, i love that miami is the thursday nighter. if we could only get rid of playing ecu every damn year....

Do you have a source? Not doubting you, I just haven't seen anything about it and started looking. Unable to find anything.

That 4.5 billion number is bogus. It is exactly equal to 2^32, which would mean if you had 32 games which were all toss-ups (50% chance for each team to win) that would be your odds to pick them all. Since NCAAT brackets include 63 games, the "true odds" would be about 9,200,000,000,000,000,000. However, that doesn't include the fact that the 1 seeds are probably 99% likely to win their first game, and the 2 seeds are probably 95% likely to win their first game, etc. I'd imagine that the odds are still near a trillion to 1 for someone using statistical analysis of past tournaments to pick their bracket.

EDIT: amended per Egbert's catch of my inaccuracy.

Got me there. I was thinking of my own favorite football-season beverage and my typing followed my own taste buds. Amending in a moment.

In regards to your comment to the ECU Game....I cant agree with you more.

MY ass hole of a Brother decided to get married on Sept. 20th (GA Tech Game). SERIOUSLY!?!

Trust me, I would of much rather it been the ECU game. I've crossing my fingers for the last 6 damn months that we would have a BYE...or a early road game...or any other game but GT, MIAMI OR UVA. #$#%#%$#@#!

What a little piece of crap. Im getting married this February because I refused to do a Fall wedding and my wife to be couldn't wait until the Spring. Freezing cold wedding it is.....thats how I roll.

Well little brother.....dont expect to have my full undivided attention on Sept. 20th.
