Not a Logan basher at all... I was in his corner all season. My argument was always that if the coaches had any faith in Leal to run our offense any better, he would have been starting. I figured Logan at QB was our best shot to win and I never wavered from that opinion. However, at the next level, Logan may do better as a tight end, especially considering Mike O'Cain apparently never taught him a goddamned thing at QB.

So 66K+ fans going buck wild during the last play of the game against Miami is not enough to acknowledge that Enter Sandman is great and gets the fans pumped?

Why not start a list of why GT should hate themselves:
Reason #1: Having two of the most dominant receivers in the NFL being GT alum, and still thinking that running the option was a better use of their talents while they were in Atlanta. D'oh!
Reason #2: Coach Paul Johnson's inability to do anything against a team that has longer than 7 days to prepare for his offense. You can knock Beamers' bowl record, but have you taken a look at CPJ's. D'oh!

I think he was asking about how it says, for example:

Darius James #1 OC ...

And wondering what the "#1" means. I would expect that he's correct with positional rankings, but I obviously don't know either.

They are just grumpy because they are terrified of Bud Foster and they have to keep playing him.

Probably #3. I would say that the committee is interested in seeing the communities response, but they are probably also down to 2 or 3 candidates right now.

I would also guess that Bourne (with his VT connections), Ballein (obviously) are thrown in to show that the search included the VT connected names. Also with a lady candidate and a non-white candidate, both of whom are quite worthy of the position, it shows that the search committee considered diverse candidates with strong resumes.

My guess is that it's Babcock with Kelly as the wildcard.

Unfortunately, great arm strength means little if you're missing the receivers by 5 yards. Over the top safety help (which he'll he in college) making a correct break on that ball, and it probably gets picked off easily.

The kid will be a good player for VT, just not at QB.

So I heard a crazy rumor the other day about UVa swimming, and just checking if anyone else heard as well.

(Post had been edited to remove unfounded rumor. Please don't post things like this. --Joe)

Would love for the BC game to be Thursday night at home. The Hokies definitely owe those guys, and it would be fitting to get revenge in Lane on Thursday night...7 years after the game of which we will not speak, but never forget.

And it fell incomplete. He's a great athlete, that's why he has an offer. But as we've seen, being a great athlete doesn't mean you have all the subtleties required to be a good QB. The other problem I have with Motley is that he's not alone. If he was all that we had, he would probably suffice, I just don't anticipate him beating out the rest of the pack. And, he's not Loeffler's guy.

I'd love to see him at WR or FS/Rov.

I was under the impression that the committee was keeping the AD search completely under wraps and that nobody was hearing any inside scoop. I have some basic questions -

1. Since Roberts is not on the committee, who is his source, or sources, and what's the motive for leaking this information?

2. Is the information accurate, or has it been thrown out to deflect attention from the actual slate of candidates?

3. Or, is this a committee-sanctioned leak designed to gauge the response to the possible candidates?

There are probably more questions, but these will do as starters.

That was the weakest, lamest attempt I have ever seen at mocking another school. Note, there are ZERO comments on his brilliant article. I also noticed he doesn't use spellcheck. "Infintile" is not a word....although his article is "infantile".
Maybe if they spent more time trying to beat us on the field instead of worrying about our school name, our entrance song, and our key jingling...

Agreed, she has the credentials.

I would avoid Bourne like the plague. He's run that basketball program into the ground and wanted to not renew Brady last year, then Brady won the CAA (or whatever conference they are in) tourney and left Bourne looking like an idiot.

I know Ballein is capable, but we gotta get out from under this old-boys-network. And, frankly, I'm shocked that McCoskey isn't the in-house choice, not Ballein.

OH BUT WE ARE DEALING WITH THE REAAAL Tech!!!!!!

They are as useful as that idiotic car they insist on driving in downtown Atlanta and fucking with everyone's commute.

No harm to the passengers wished, but I'd love to see that dumb old bag of bolts careen head first at its top speed of 6 mph into a concrete embankment.

Kelly is very interesting. ACC ties, bigtime college football ties, in the business/fundraising world. I like that he has little of the traditional AD management team experience. I'm in favor of a non-traditional selection.
