These are all much better choices, but they weren't used for 1 reason -

NOBODY AT GAH TECH PAYS ATTENTION TO FOOTBALL.

lol true, but I think besides us Nebraska is the team to watch for I believe. I hope he passes tho and I hope he becomes a hokie. We could certainly use him at LB

Exactly! You can't go watch a kid because you're playing, and they can't come watch you because they're playing. I can see why some people would like Friday night games, no better way to end the work week than with your college team playing, plus you get two days after that off to do whatever you want. However, I still consider Friday night college games for mid level schools, as well as Wednesday night games. Take night games on Thursday or Saturday. Save Friday night for high school!

I'm saying more legitimacy than the college kid who earns no money and just writes clickbait top 10 lists with purposefully off-the-wall orders to garner attention. Which has pretty much been the Bleacher Report M.O.

When I say "legitimate," I just mean in terms of being like the rest of the scouts for websites all over. Obviously it's not an exact science or we wouldn't see scouts and teams be mind-blowingly wrong on some of these prospects.

Friday night seems so "Big East" to me but it without a doubt is better than a Saturday noon. Stadium atmosphere at night is far and away better.

Anything beats a Saturday noon kickoff, but I still don't like the thought of Friday night games.

I'e held off on this for a long while now regarding this "Loeffler's guy" stuff but here it goes:

I am thrilled to have Andrew Ford on board. Based on what we've all seen in reviews he has the potential to be a very successful QB for us. I also like Durkin...he also has the potential to be a successful QB for us.

However, "Loeffler's guy" was David Cornwell and/or Jacob Park. AFTER those two got away we turned to Ford/Durkin. Yes, Ford was brought in by Loeffler and we all love the guy but let's not get out of hand.

I also tend to think about this in terms of scouting. How in the hell are the college teams supposed to know what's going on at the HS level, who they want to recruit, if they're playing games on Fridays?

This is a real shame they made such a poor list. Maybe we can make up real reasons to hate us:

#7- We broke Joshua Nesbit's Arm:

#6- Late hit on Tyrod Taylor leads to game winning drive

#5- We complained about chop blocks:

#4- Logan's Run

#3- We came in and became the real "Tech" worth talking about in the ACC

#2- Bryan Randall's Rally (2004) - after trailing in the 4th quarter, Bryan Randall exploded for 2 TD's and a Roland Minor pick 6 in Atlanta turned the game into a blow out

#1- Sean Glennon Beats GT wearing one of their jerseys:

What else am I missing?

Friday Night games are for Mid-majors - I want none of that! Give me two Thursday night games!

Yeah, Boise or Fresneck. Sometimes I swear I see Fresneck play twice in a single weekend.

i think the girl in the gif is mocking the jackets by saying

mmmmmm bbbbbb zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

IIRC, we were one of the first major conference teams to play on Thursday nights, and look where we are now.

That's not to say that Friday would be that great, but it's at least a prime-time slot on national TV. IMO it would be a huge improvement over a Saturday nooner.

Andy, what exactly are Matt Miller's credentials that make him a "legitimate guy"? As near as I can tell, he does claim that he is "utilized" by NFL, CFL & AFL teams, although in what capacity he doesn't mention (my guess is as a writer, not a talent scout, or he would mention it). It doesn't appear that he ever actually played football, but he was a secondary and special teams coordinator for, get this, the Joplin Crusaders of the Central Football League (which is apparently the Midwest's premier adult amateur football league!). And he stayed at a Holiday Inn last night...

And when you refer to "NFL guy" are you referring to Matt Miller or someone else?

I'm being critical here because IMO these guys have no more credibility than your next door neighbor when it comes to evaluating talent and their comments should be put in the proper context.
