It's not the belief that we should be able to do it bothers me, it's how every time there is something negative written about the team (even if it's completely valid and substantiated) there is an outrage about it and at times calling it bad journalism. Especially when we have been doing the exact same thing to some teams for years.
I have faith that we can curb stomp OSU, but I still know that the world writing it off as them most likely beating us is completely reasonable at this point in time given all the evidence. Now get back to me the week of the game and we'll be almost invincible.

For some reason the thought of a 300 lb #MANBEARPIG repairing my computer makes me laugh. My guess is he just intimidates it into working again.
How so? They desperately need DB help and Fuller brings that. He could be a stabalizing force by being a leader on and off the field. The Skins need him, the fanbase could use a model player, and he could start in the NFL right away. Its an ideal situation, although the team is a circus, Darrel Green was an icon here.

Well 6 of the 10 misses were all by one player. Devin Wilson went 2 for 8 from the free throw line. Considering he is our one guard that consistently drives the lane and draws fouls, he needs to spend days at the free throw line going forward. He is shooting 61.3% on the season from the line.
JvZ can also spend some time with Wilson at the line as he went 1 for 4. He is shooting 35.9% on the season so far from the line. Emelogu went 1 for 2 but is shooting 75% for the season
I agree, I saw that number an winced. Erick Green he is not.

I was amazed at how bad the traffic was to get to the stadium and then to leave after.
Very good point.
Frank Beamer has never had a staff that was worth going after. He's never had to deal with this before. I hope he can manage this at this point in his career....

I don't understand how any team can hit less than 60% free throws in a game, and 60% is BAD!!! They should spend the next practice hour shooting nothing but free throws. That was 6-8 points missed with a better percentage, guess what that was the score difference.

I don't think BWade was being overly excited about this. He just made an observation. One that I hadn't known yet. I think it's a valid point that Moorehead may be attracted to go work with Pep again. But not one we need to be worried about until A) Pep takes the job and B) Pep needs a WR coach.

As you said, half of the teams make bowls, certainly, but only half of the Big Ten made bowls as well, so to say that the teams on their OOCS that did make bowl games are the weak link doesn't make a lot of sense. Cincinnati and Navy were both 9-4 this year, and Tech was 8-5. Its especially funny that the one team they didn't mention from the OOCS is Kent State, losing record and non-CFP conference. They also didn't mention that its weakened by having to play Maryland and Rutgers next year as well. So yes, you can make a bowl at 6-6 but none of the three teams mentioned were that base level of qualifying.
We need to hit up his Twitter account if he has one, with simply, "come home".
I think Wilson, Amerson and Meriweather (though dirty at times and will likely have to retire from the NFL after sustaining a million concussions before 2017) have bright futures (EXCEPTION: Meriweather if he doesn't change previously stated playing style) and their best games/seasons ahead of them. DHall just seems far too past his prime to be the #2 CB in any good secondary. I would love a Fuller, especially a great cover guy and tackler like Kyle.
I hope this site doesn't get too worked up this off season by comments like this. Because like it or loathe it, I have a feeling we are going to be seeing A LOT of them.
As diehard fans, we need to take a step away from our VT perspective to understand where these types of comments come from. We have many many things to be proud of about our football program. We have one of the most respected (if not THE most respected) coaches in college football. We have stayed clear of even any sniff of NCAA violations as the coaches are doing things the right way. We have an above average graduation rate. Amazing stadium experience, fantastic defenses, beautiful campus, rails at TOTs, etc etc.
Unfortunately, there is a national perception that VT is a program that just can't get it done and does not belong in the same sentence as teams like Ohio St, and that began well before these last 2 "blah" years. So, if we want to take each comment like this and get all defensive about it, its going to be a long offseason (and potentially a very long season as well)
