While he isn't a finished product, I regard Pettit as the guy with the greatest upside of the class. Taylor and Mitchell are closer to being ready to play right now, but Pettit was the best pure drive blocker of the three.
I am hopeful that Mitchell stays as well. I'd love if Taylor did, but if he didn't, with Teller in the mix, I think we are okay at the tackle spot. That makes landing Austin Clark that much more important next year.

He started off with a bang by landing Tyrod. The rest of his record is spotty, with some highly rated guys, most of whom were flops. NOTE: VINSTON PAINTER WAS THE ONLY OL HE LANDED IN HIS TIME AT VT!!!

Totally agree...been a bad night for Eddie all around
Although the coach is the link for recruits- they have to be in tune with the program the school and have a plan of where they will be in 5 years. this is a tough life lesson for these guys but they are still in a very good place.

Right now there is (allegedly) one vacancy. It should be approached as filling that one position. I think shifting coaches around would be a step backward for the program and ultimately a mistake. Frank made some good choices last year...let's have faith that he can do it again!
