I have longed wished the Hokie Club would set aside a parking lot for young alumni. The tailgating in that lot would be spirited, it would be easy to find and connect with those in (or close to) your alumni class and it could begin the graduation process (through increased donation) from that lot to others. It would foster tailgating relationships, and by extension committment to the school and the HC. It's an easy solution to the lack of benefits offered by the HC, especially to the younger alumni. Make a donation in your first year out you get a parking spot (with room for a tent) in lot X.

Also name all the lots (or better yet, poll those in the lots and allow us to name our lot).

i'm the son of a truck driver. we moved around all over the damn place for my dad's work. he didnt love money more than his family, he loved his family and understood that more money meant he could better provide for us.

i cant blame the man. if theyre really gonna double his salary than make that paper boo boo. i dont think this reflects poorly on the program. i think it reflects the current landscape of college football. grimes is a good coach. his talent was recognized and he went back to the sec from whence he came. i know it seems nonsensical to those of us who bleed the o&m but virginia tech is our passion, it's his job.

obviously the oline is in a much better place than it was a year ago and i'm glad coach grimes made a pit stop here. i dont however think the man is irreplaceable. i dont know enough about the x's and o's to make a judgement on whether it should be stiney or todd washington or the horse on a treadmill but whoever it is we all know what we want from our oline. get us the best man for the job frank, and lets play some fuckin ball.

go hokies.

Hah. So true.

Shane Beamer on a hypothetical Sam Rogers plane crash: "We will rebuild him. We have the horses on treadmills. We have the robotic jellyfish. We have the capability to make the world first bionic Sam Rogers. Oh, and Pops has 6 million dollars in a cookie jar under his desk."

6 million dollar Rogers

"Blake DeChristopher has been approached, and is eager to help Sam with his strength training."

I agree with you bro...I tend to be pragmatic tho so I'll hold my excitement until TW is a done deal. My concerns are whether TW is truly willing to leave his current position for one. I'm also curious about what his current salary is, can we even come close to matching it? There are real questions at play here that set us up for a fall every time.

If TW is down, fine...if not, then it makes more sense to reshuffle the deck. We have a proven OL coach on staff as well as a very much unproven RB coaching situation. I see two problems that can get fixed for the price of one.

Agreed, immediate salesmanship, damage control, but we must be hopeful! I need a drink!.......... aahhhhhhh

Would like more detail, but its a start. Gotta try to get everyone signed and get a top notch coach... crossing fingers by signing day.

Gives me hope that someone has a PR bone in their body

Huckleberry,
My emails out there just as easily for you to send me a resume as the other guy. I am not sure I have great leads for you in va with blackjack and hookers but I do have friends across the border in Charles Town.

More OL coaches called today than UVA fans at a spring game.

LOL true, but we need some positive out of today

"I really liked the energy in Lane today! Scott Stadiums never been that loud!"
