It's easy to pay no mind to the best. I get your sentiment, and I'm kinda that way as well.

I feel like we'd hate them a ton more if we were more productive and closer to the top 5. Especially of Bama stood in our way for something.

This isn't a valid argument. Saban is arguably the best college coach in the nation. He's is household name in every state. He could immediately attract blue chip players and promising assistants at any school. Also, given his coaching tree, it's fair to assume that one of his assistants could take over once he retires/leaves. Cutcliffe is known and respected in the ACC, but hardly known elsewhere. How many NCs does he have as a head coach? How many NFL players has he produced in the past 5 years? No disrespect to DC, but he's no where near the quality hire as Saban is.

Dirty Hits McGee! The kid played the game dirty but where were the refs to toss him? Rules are great but if no one's going to actually enforcement them then you get this. He laid AT LEAST 3 hits where he led with his helmet. Great job with the research and journalism yet again ESPN!

Agree. Let's say a highly touted offensive player (for the matter of discussion - a wide receiver) was between VT and PSU, Franklin takes over with Hackenberg at the helm, I'd have to say player x chooses PSU (based solely on football opportunity).

Yes, if Logan stubbornly insists on playing QB like Tebow did in the NFL, there's a 99% chance that he'll be a career backup. He has a much better chance at becoming a starting TE.

While I don't think we need to panic about the recruiting implications, I'm sure our coaches realize the importance of getting the offense back on track before PSU's sanctions are lifted.

I feel like I'm one of the few people who honestly doesn't mind Alabama (when we're not playing them that is). In that case, I really hope Lane Kiffin doesn't get the job. I really don't want to start hating them and if he gets hired I will have to. What a jerk...

Not disagreeing haha. I still think he's a good guy, but HC may not be his thing. DC would be an interesting spot for him to end up.

So we should all go for it and get behind Logan and provide support to his tight end...

um..wait..

damn, now the image is in my head already.

CBS did the game. ABC is ESPN parent. Kids are going to be p***ed we're going to Universal. NBC is my new champion.

Reality is that bloggers, sites like these are the only media outlets that have any integrity left whatsoever.

I do like HBO's Bryant Gumbel show. Probably owned by someone I don't like.

Have you seen his wife? I'm sure his resumes and recruiting pitches have something along the lines of "my wife will be at all practices in a bikini." That's the only reasonable explanation he's not the manager of a Taco Bell right now.

I have a feeling that his post-crash mugshot will be making a lot of apperances here. And for that I am both thankful and optimistic about the future.

Agreed on all fronts. The kid will be a redshirt sophomore this season, and his entire true freshman season was spent getting his knee right. Both he and Alford will have to have some impact this season, as the Hokies rotate two groups of down linemen under ideal circumstances, and both could beat out Marshall if they explode this spring or Marshall doesn't play at a high level.

So he goes from the Raiders, to eeking out a bowl appearance at Rocky Top, to landing a premier gig at USC, to unemployed, to an OC on Saben's Alabama machine? Does this guy have hidden pictures of people? How does he keeping getting jobs?
