OU just solved their QB rotation tonight. Homeboy is lighting up Alabama.
Truth. IMO McMillian & Motley would've had the best shot to start under the old staff / system where improvisation and scrambling were vital to any kind of success in the passing game.
Ford and Durkin are both QB's that wouldn't have given Virginia Tech a second thought with O'Cain as the QB Coach and Stinespring as the O. Coordinator. They are a step up from Leal who was a good passer in HS but hasn't shown the ability to handle college defenses, and a big step up from the QB's we would otherwise be recruiting this year. I'm not trying to insult Leal's abilities but he wasn't even in Rivals' Top100 for the state of Florida in 2010. Parker & Motley are examples of the kinds of QBs we were recruiting under the old staff... projects who were raw athletes that the coaches hoped could be molded into a Mike Vick or Tyrod Taylor type QB. Ford is the Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Pennsylvania as a passer. Durkin is a big pro-style QB in the mold of Hogan from Stanford and had offers from half the Big Ten, They're both borderline 3/4 star type players while Leal was a firm 3.
At least they're still showing Katherine Webb
Oklahoma making plays.
Agreed with above, the look on the Bammers faces when they are losing is so entertaining.
I echo your sentiment.
Bob Stoops just wants Saban to know what it felt like for him after the '04 Sugar Bowl
I have a feeling you'll be joining the club by the time you graduate. Hang in there!
Tell your peers to show up to games in force, cheer like madmen, and stop leaving early.
this times 1000
I could just watch this gif all day. It's fantastic. He's even better in high-speed gif than he is in normal speed.
i wouldn't agree that we always get blown out in bowl games. In recent memory we've beat 2 good teams (Cinci 08 and Louisville 05), beat 2 average teams (Tennessee 09, Rutgers 12) took 3 very good teams down to the wire even tho we should have won (Michigan 11, Kansas 07, Auburn 04...only bowl blowouts in recent memory are Stanford 10 and UCLA 13
Watching McCarron's lack of mobility makes me wonder how long he'd survive behind our o-line
Its stupid to have a rotation period. SL will pick 1 and stick with 1. That's how he rolls. There will be a fierce competition this spring for the job. That whole tyrod/glennon thing was a debacle. I absolutely hated that
Bama needs to keep feeding Henry. He is a workhorse.
I'm a sophomore at Vt, so I haven't enjoyed a 10 win season like many of you have, and all this talk about how great our previous years were is making me sad.
Looks like you're right. Looks almost like a video game the way they're running the ball now.
But it will begin for Uva! If Mora and Hundley go, maybe Uva wins at home against UCLA next year. No Hundley, Mora, Barr, and Zumwalt...
Florida isnt a factor. FSU is main threat but Louisville is a new name .. hadnt heard them as real option before.
VT has the advantage of being removed from his home state (family wants those distractions gone) and his relationship with TG and coaching staff, in general.
My belief is javon may prefer fsu after visit but still comes to VT, due to factors listed above. Imo, he is most important recruit in this class. I live in southern florida, know 2 HS coaches. They both raved about his potential.
Hope we continue to impress upon him and his family how important we feel his is to VTs next 4 years
Love the new features Joe! I feel like the next thing you should look into is putting the search bar in a more prominent place and making it actually work (or maybe it just doesn't work for me?). But anyways I love this site, and am super impressed by all the hard work you do to make this the best website for Hokie Sports.
FSU got a commit from a top WR prospect today, so that certainly can't hurt our chances.
I mean I'M not even THAT doom and gloom, and I've been pretty open about my unhappiness with the program.
TD Alabama.
I'd be very surprised if our bowl game had much to do with Texas's interest in Mora Jr. I'd say Texas has had him on their list all along.

If Sean Glennon wasn't jacked, I'm not sure he would've survived, either
