Looking back at Andre Davis' career stats in the pros, I think it's fair for me to put Eddie Royal as the 2nd best hokie at WR that I've seen play in the NFL.
The best QB in the nation on the best team in the nation. No debate really. I can't think of a better season for an ACC QB in the past 10 years, and there are a lot of NFL QBs on that list.
Also I had Ben Emelogu as a member of one of my bio lab group this semester. It was weird because I found myself being a leader to the captain of our basketball team at points. The other two other members of my group, who were both attractive ladies, couldn't figure out why I wasn't giving more attention to them. Although to be fair I couldn't figure out why those ladies talked to me at all as I am a mildly overweight dude with a neckbeard right next to a total baller.
That's such bullshit. Players should get recruited/get playing time at VT because the coaches feel those players will help them win games, not because of where they went to high school.
I lost a lot of respect for UVA when they gave Philip Sims so many chances because of "political reasons" and they started taking kids from random 757 schools to create "pipelines" even though they weren't D1-level players.
I don't give a flying fuck where a kid goes to high school. If he can help us win games, represent VT in the right way and do well academically, I want that kid on my team. If it's Oscar Smith, great. If it's Hampton, awesome. If it's Norfolk fucking Academy, that's fine too.
AD's at high schools shouldn't get butthurt because their kids didn't make it at VT. Guess what fuckfaces, we're 99-34 since we've joined the ACC, we know what the fuck we're doing. If you kid didn't make it, it's because he wasn't good enough not because of "political reasons" or "we didn't like him". Don't bad-mouth our program and blame the coaches because your kid didn't pan out.
I yelled "Hey Rogers, discount double check" one time on campus to Sam Rogers. He kind of smiled back at me. Granted, this was the second time I've yelled this at him when I know he's heard me. The first time I yelled it at him was one of the best nights of my life, but would take too long to type out right now (I have an online final I'm working on right now due tomorrow at noon and a 7:45am exam when I wake up, assuming I have time to sleep).

I have a few as well. Ran into Chris Ellis in TOTS after he graduated. I was hammered and obviously not thinking right, but long story short I go up to my buddy a few minutes later and say "hey, I just called Brandon Frye, Chris Ellis and had an entire conversation without him correcting me." Felt like an ass, but he was nice about it.
Met Eddie Royal at a DZ date party during the NCAA tournament. After my date for the event finally told me to stop being a pussy, I went up and shot the shit with him about the tournament.
Saw Frank Beamer in the parking lot at Food Lion once. I had a case of Bud Light with me and just said Hey Coach! he said how's it going. My buddy was waiting in his car. I came back and said "Man I'm pissed". He said "Why?" I said "I just saw Frank Beamer and I didn't get him to sign my case of Bud Light."
It's like Novocaine. Just give it time. It always works.

As a student: Told this one b4, but Mrs. Chachi took a First Aid/CPR class back in the day with Bruce Smith and was his partner for the Heimlich maneuver. She failed to get her arms around his chest cuz he was a beast.
As an alumni: While flying endless boring circles over Bburg in a government aircraft for unspecified purposes, my copilot and I got creative and used his smartphone to look up HCFB's address, we then switched to MapQuest, found the house there and then located it on the ground. Got a great view from 3000 feet above ground level of the Beamer headquarters and an unknown family member arriving home. Anything to pass the time...
In addition to the 5 DT commits for 2014, they also have 7 DTs currently on the roster who will return in 2014.
Like you said - lots more playing time for a DT at Tech.
My favorite game was definitely Georgia Tech. Seeing us taking another approach at stopping their offense was exciting, especially seeing Fuller literally try to jump over there line play after play. It was like watching highlights from the waterboy.
My favorite moment, however, was Josh Stanford's TD in the Miami game. The cutback move and him breaking all those tackles was awesome.
Not a player, but I was walking up Spring Street towards Washington and was crossing from the Cassel side to the parking lot side. A car stopped and honked while I in the crosswalk, I look up, and HOLY SHIT IT WAS FRANK BEAMER DRIVING A CADILLAC. Sadly, he was honking at (I'm assuming) a football player walking past me.
Beating GT, Miami, and of course, UVA.
Another winning record, although we could have done better, and another bowl game.
I'm reading on another site that he was less then enthusiastic by this last trip to Florida.
As far as FSU is concerned, they will return 7 WRs for 2014. They already have 2 WR commits for 2014, with 4 more with solid or better interest. But, they are a childhood favorite - that's something of a concern.
I hate Miami more than any school in the world and I loved throttling them but GT had to be it for me. After all the trash we were getting from StingTalk, we had a perfectly executed game plan (on a thursday night road game, in a pretty loud stadium). All this capped by "Let's go Hokies" being chanted pretty loud in Atlanta was incredible. I was pretty proud to be a Hokie that day.
My favorite part is that they literally count down until they next time that they'll lose to us.
Aside from the beet-y flavor (which some would argue is a push re: Gatorade), beet juice would actually be pretty damn effective for a pre-game beverage. Lots of antioxidants, sugars, and a Wake Forest study found that as little as a cup a day increased blood flow to the brain as well as muscle and bone tissues during exercise including a reduced oxygen demand of muscular tissues during strenuous activity. Sooo...Coach Shrute FTW!!
as another student, i totally agree that marshall was by far the most fun i had all year. we were few in number in north, but by rogers (am i allowed to use sam rogers name that way?) we were loud

This was my favorite moment of the season. For all that we put into BEATBAMA it happened there. It showed that on any play you can gash the #1 team and take it to the house. It was the biggest play Bama gave up until the last second of the season.
