The BCS served as a bridge from the old bowl tie-ins, to the playoffs. It produced some memorable national championship matchups that otherwise wouldn't have happened. However, the system was flawed and overstayed its welcome.

Because if you thought that was bad, you should go find a replay of the 2011 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl between Illinois and UCLA. It is the WORST FOOTBALL YOU WILL EVER SEE. It's like one of those movies that you know is just so bad you can't stop watching. It's epic.

True, but I think that the difference may be FSU's defensive speed.

Shouldn't it be easier than recruiting for Boise? Peterson has already had a pretty tough recruiting road at Boise, and even with the lower level of talent he was able to attract to Boise, he was able to win. Given that he is already in his recruiting territory, not much should change except the resources at his disposal, which are definitely improved. I'm thinking he'll take a year or two to build up his guys and be off and running. I'd love to see him pick up Orgeron as DC, though...

It's so funny that Bud is such a good def coord that you don't want to move him to HC.
